Who makes you laugh out loud? Who would you pay to see? My top 3: Richard Pryor-I laughed so hard watching "Richard Pryor Live", I was sore for a week George Carlin-Thought provoking, and funny. Thats a talent rarely found anymore. Steven Wright-"I bought a decaffinated coffee table yesterday" ------------------ When we tire of well-worn ways, we seek for new. Damn Bob, you took my three! Seriously! Although I would rate Wright ahead of Carlin. One morning I woke up and everything in my house had been stolen and replaced with an exact replica. I asked my roommate "Did you notice everything in the house has been replaced with an exact replica?" and he said "Do I know you?" ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
Eddie Murphy is great, as is Lenny Bruce. ------------------ When we tire of well-worn ways, we seek for new. This restless craving in the souls of men spurs them to climb, and to seek the mountain view. -- Ella Wheeler Wilcox [This message has been edited by BobFinn* (edited February 10, 2001).]
Red Skelton and Jonathon Winters from my childhood days. ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
In no particular order: Eddie Murphy George Carlin Chris Rock - He is just killin' me lately Kevin Meaney Brian Regan - If you haven't heard or seen him, find out when he is in town or buy a CD. He is one of the funniest comedians I've ever seen. Jerry Seinfeld - Still one of the great stand-up's. Damon Wayans Rodney Dangerfield ------------------ Me fail English? That's unpossible.
Chris Farley is my all-time favorite. Does he count as a comedian? Outside of that, Jerry Seinfeld and Chevy Chase. Again, don't know if Chevy counts. Chris Rock is also extremely cool. The best SNL cast ever is the one with Farley, Sandler, Rock, Schneider, and Spade. Those are some of the glory days of comedy, IMO. I'm probably leaving someone out.
No TheFreaking way! The original cast: Akroyd, Belushi, Chase, Curtain, Morris, Newman, Radner....Those were the best shows!!! (And I did that from memory!) ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
Oh hell....How could I forget....One of my all time favorites...Sam Kineson! (sp?) I saw him at a comedy club in Houston in the early 80's, before he made it big, then again at the Alabama theater after he made it big. Man, I miss him! ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
Have to disagree with you on SNL, Freak. Chevy, Belushi, Murray, Ackroyd, Garrett Morris, Gilda Radner and Loraine Newman were the best, in my opinion. Farley and Sandler were/are funny, Spade annoys me. ------------------ When we tire of well-worn ways, we seek for new. Just a quick clarification Bob...Chevy Chase and Bill Murray were not on the show together....Murray replaces Chase after Chase left for the movies. I think TheFreak is not old enough to remember??? ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
Steven Wright has always been my favorite comedian. I also like Jake Johanson. He's pretty funny. There are others, too, that I like. I absolutely cannot stand Gallager, though. ------------------ Houston Sports Board The Anti-Bud Adams Page
Mitch Hedberg - the future of heady comedy Steve White - in your face, loud and funny Brian Regan - funny, funny and of course, Robin Williams and Jerry Seinfeld and many, many others... ------------------ The Psychedelic Groove House of Rockets Basketball Love!
Damn, how could I forget Robin Williams. ------------------ When we tire of well-worn ways, we seek for new. This restless craving in the souls of men spurs them to climb, and to seek the mountain view. -- Ella Wheeler Wilcox
Chris Rock Sure there are many more, but he is hilarious! ------------------ President of the Charles Barkley fan club...Oh he retired? When?
Chris Rock is hilarious! Who saw Dogma? I loved that movie! ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
Good. Made some cash for clearin' out the trash! ------------------ Me fail English? That's unpossible.
Chris Rock and Eddie Murphy are the best ever. ------------------ The whole world we travel with our thoughts, Finding nowhere anyone as precious as one's own self. Since each and every person is so precious to themselves Let the self-respecting harm no other being. -from the Samyutta Nikaya
Bring the Pain is easily the funniest sixty minutes that have EVER been put on tape, bar none...I still laugh after seeing it over and over... "We don't need prayer in schools...We got the tossed salad man!!" Damn, I'm laughing simply while TYPING that... One of the most underrated comics out there is Norm McDonald...His old stand up routine before he made movies and appeared on SNL was awesome... I also saw Richard Jeni at the Laff Stop back in October 1999....Man, I have never laughed so hard in my life... ------------------ If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding!!
rockHEAD- Mitch Hedburg is the funniest human ever to live. ive been trying to find some of his material on the internet but i cant find it. can you help me??? ------------------ The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?
