I like most of his older (70's-80's) movies, but I think Outlaw Josie Wales and Any which Way But Loose are the best.

Anyone ever see Used Cars with Kurt Russel?

I haven't seen many of Eastwood's older flicks but I would have to say my favorite is Unforgiven. Like the Godfather I can watch that movie over and over again and not get tired of it.

Unforgiven, a classic western that will stand the test of time. I really like his other work as well, but this film is amongst the very best of the genre.

Most of his films were great except Paint Your Wagon.

Imagine Dirty Harry singing with Lee Marvin. It ain't pretty.

Very best western of all time: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly.

Eastwood is great in it but Eli Wallach really stole the show with an amazing performance.

    Hmm.... tough one...

There was always his Spaghetti Westerns:
    Fistful of Dollars
    For a Few Dollars More
The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly

Then there were his American westerns:
    High Plains Drifter
    The Outlaw Josie Wales
    Unforgiven
    Pale Rider

(and there were some not-so-good American westerns:
    Two Mules for Sister Sarah
    Paint Your Wagon
    Joe Kidd
    Hang 'em High)

But he also switched genres and made 5 Dirty Harry movies:
    Dirty Harry
    Magnum Force
    The Enforcer
    Sudden Impact
    The Dead Pool

As well as some other tough cop films like
    Coogan's Bluff
    Tightrope
    The Gauntlet

Clint also made some pretty good war films:
    Kelly's Hero's
    Where Eagles Dare
    Heartbreak Ridge

And there some great in-between films:
    The Eiger Sanction
    Thunderbolt & Lightfoot
    Escape From Alcatraz
    Firefox
    In the Line of Fire

I'd have to go with The Outlaw Josey Wales.

That move was interesting from beginning to end

Toss-up between "The Outlaw Josey Wales" and "Unforgiven". The first three "Dirty Harry" movies are close as is "Escape from Alcatraz". Oh, and "Play Misty for Me".

Ah, who am I kidding...it's "Pink Cadillac".

It's too hard to pick just one...

    Outlaw JW
    Good Bad Ugly
    Dirty Harry
    Any which way but loose

Hell I like most of them

I really liked the Dirty Harry movies, but I think Josie Wales captures Eastwood at his height of badassness.

It's hard to believe that Play Misty for Me (1971) was the first film he directed. His genius was evident straight away.

Oh my gawd...I just realized that I've NEVER seen a Clint Eastwood movie!! I've seen plenty of clips of Eastwood movies and I know the classic one-liners, but I've never actually watched an Eastwood flick from beginning to end...

I'm a disgrace to movie fans everywhere :(

Oh yeah, Eastwood is doing the voice of Dirty Harry in a new Dirty Harry video game...

anybody remember Dirty Harry for the NES? That was one of the first games I can remember that had an actual voice clip in it...
