Growing up, I think we all loved cartoons. I loved watching Freakazoid, Animaniacs, and Ninja Turtles. But looking back, this is, without doubt, the greatest animated... anything of all time. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EEhHroh2r4w&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EEhHroh2r4w&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> I like anime as much as the next dork, but you really can't compete with Looney Tunes. Anyone else have a favorite?
Well if we're going old school. As a kid I remember we used to go to this mom and pop video rental store and we'd always keep taking out Disney cartoon collections. This was one of my absolute favorites: Mickey's Trailer: <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/NhW-BXA8Ybc&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/NhW-BXA8Ybc&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Oh man, I remember those old school Disney tapes too! In the oversized plastic containers... My fave was the Donald Duck complilation. roll call... TMNT DuckTales Darkwing Duck The Critic Pinky and The Brain Beavis and Butt-Head Duckman Histeria Haven't really watched much animation since HS other than South Park, Simpsons, Futurama, etc.
Oh man. How could I have forgotten The Critic? A character I wrote (and played) in a film in high school was BASED on Jay's father.

I was a dragon ball master, hell, I had my own .NET website when I was like 11, all about dbz. I knew how to type in HTML but I wasn't even in junior high yet. Ah the good ol days jumping outside on a trampoline mindlessly swinging a sword in the air pretending I am about to turn super saiyan....
I used to watch Doraemon and Sailormoon religiously as a kid living in Asia. Then there was the Saint Seiya series. If anyone haven't seen this.. I recommend downloading the series somewhere or buying it.

cartoons just aren't the same anymore. They used to be so good. Hell, even in the 90's cartoons were still good. Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Pinky and the Brain. I remember watching The Big Cartoony show after highschool everyday at 3:30pm on WB. Now it's all japanimations.
If you count anime, then Death Note and GTO are my favorites by far. Discounting anime, they are so many other good ones... X-Men, Thundercats, Ninja Turtles, Bucky O'Hare, and Looney Tunes. They all had their appeal.
I remember watching Akira as a kid several times and being really confused. The Japanese really take their cartoons/anime seriously
