What is your favorite breakfast food - if you pick other, state what it is. As much as I like bacon and eggs as well as sausage and biscuits plus cereal, I have to go with waffles. I don't get to eat them very often but when I do, it always has been a good breakfast.

Well, an omelette should have definitely been included.

My personal favorite is eggs benedict, but that's a little time consuming, and you have to have the ingredients.

A super easy thing to do is make a bunch of breakfast burritos at once.

All you need to do is give yourself 30 minutes one evening.

    10-15 flour tortillas (taco size)
    4-8 eggs
1/2 lb. of jimmy deans sausage
    cheddar cheese.

Put the eggs and saugage in a pan and cook over medium heat until cooked. Warm the tortillas in the microwave. Then it's assembly line time.

Take a warm tortilla. Put the egg and sausage mixture in, and top with cheese. then roll the tortilla up, and wrap in celophane. They'll refridgerate easily for a week.

Then you can nuke a breakfast burrito or two every morning before you go to work.

BTW, a beignet is pretty much exactly like a sopapilla.

    My patented "roundup" breakfast:

    3 eggs, over easy
2 types of breakfast meat (either bacon, sausages, bologna or steak)
    hash browns (cubed)
    a spoonful of beans
    2 slices of fried tomato
two pieces of toast with butter and jam
one cup of black coffee with sugar
    one small glass of juice
    one big glass of water
a wedge or two of orange to cut the grease

Hash browns are a pain in the ass to make, though.

    Open faced breakfast sandwich:

    whole piece of toast
    3-4 thin slices of bologna
1 fried egg, yolk not broken; fried a bit longer than over-easy, but not totally hard
    1 thin slice of tomato

Put butter and a bit of orange marmalade on the toast (don't knock the marmalade 'till you've tried it!). Put down one slice of thin bologna, then the tomato, then another slice of bologna, then the egg, then the final slice(s) of bologna. Pick it up and eat it. Everything mingles perfectly, causing cosmic happiness.

I can eat 2-3 of these at a time.

Well, it is my poll and thread Paul Prudhomme - thus the reason for an "other" selection.

Who do you think makes the best migas in town? Mama's and Pico's come to mind, but I can't think of other places, save IHOP, that serve it.

    Any suggestions?
