Oh, to be back in the mid '80's again, with a Floyd album on and other stuff.... ------------------ Beware the blank post!
Great list, Ren. Enjoy almost all of them. But no list would be complete without the Beatles' SGT. Peppers and Magical Mystery Tour. ------------------ "We're having a pretty good time considering one day we're all going to die." Steve Martin, 1976
And Moody Blues, and YES. And Doobie Brothers. ------------------ "We're having a pretty good time considering one day we're all going to die." Steve Martin, 1976
Marvelous 3 The Cult King's X Enuff Z Nuff Queen Cheap Trick Those are my "desert island" bands. I also like about a million others that I've listed in other threads. [This message has been edited by TheFreak (edited June 22, 2001).]
That would be Perry Como... "doobie, doobie, doo..." ------------------ "We're having a pretty good time considering one day we're all going to die." Steve Martin, 1976
Pink Floyd is way too depressing. They aren't depressing in a "I want to kill myself" way, but in more of a "You're stuck in your mediocre existence and there's no way out until you die a slow, painful death" kinda way...The only songs I can listen to from Floyd are Brick in the Wall (both parts) and Money... ------------------ If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding!!
Maybe I'm living in the past too much sometimes, but the sounds of Pink Floyd combined with mood altering drugs were soooo mellow and relaxing...who cares what they were singing about. ...not that I would know anything about mood altering drugs... ------------------ Beware the blank post!
Metallica Led Zeppelin Dream Theater Megadeth Pantera Guns N' Roses Van Halen Ugly Kid Joe The Beatles Pink Floyd Primus Alice in Chains Creed In that order ------------------ Feeling claustrophobic, like the walls are closing in. Raven -- did you ever get Ugly Kid Joe's "Motel California" CD? I've often wondered what that disc was like, just never picked it up. I like their first two LPs. I'd like to see your review of MC, if you don't mind.

Yeah, I have it, Freak. I had to special order it, because on their new label, they didn't sell jack. The CD is interesting. Some of the songs I really like, but some of them have an odd, off-putting, funktified feel that I don't think really works. It wasn't a good buy, especially at the price I ended up paying for it. If you like UKJ, then it might be worth it if you could find the CD for $10.00 or less, in my opinion. In my opinion, Menace to Sobriety was their best work. I love that album. ------------------ Feeling claustrophobic, like the walls are closing in. Blood stains on my hands, and I don't know where I've been. Thanks everyone! I cant believe I left off Boyz 2 Men,Guns N Roses, and Rage Against the Machines. I like almost all of the bands/Artists you all listed so far, maybe besides Bobs list, not that I dont like them, just Im not familiar with their names,Bob can you name some songs? I dont know if anyone will know what Im talking about, but what is that music in the Conan movies,it gives me goose bumps everytime I hear it,much like "The Duel"at the end of Episode 1 when the sliding doors open and Darth Maul is just standing there, and it just hits you,its just so cool! Oh,and thanks for the links Behad. ------------------ AKA Rendiggler
