Leah just got voted off... and I actually liked her. Would have rather gotten rid of Amy. Who are your favorites? And why? I like Jon Peter Louis, he's goofy. Of the girls I like Jasmine the best, nice smile and good voice. I'm such an addict to reality TV. I think it's safe to say Camille won't win. Since the poll only allows 10 choices I'll leave her off.
I started this thread last year. No one strikes me as hot or talented this year. My favorites are guys this year. Thank you queer eye!
Also: I saw that someone on this board knew George Huff personally. Congrats to him............... But the skull cap on the AI site being his persona has gotta go. Is he friendly? Is he a gangsta? Is he confused? He WILL lose votes for that image alone.
Man, there are a lot of good performers this year. I voted for Jasmine, but I like Diana, Fantasia, Camile, LaToya, and MRogers. I can't wait to get rid of Amy Adams, George Huff, and Jennifer Hudson. My wife thought that Leah LaBelle was really cute, but even in her final moment in the sun you could tell that her performance was not up to snuff. And for the record, I still miss Scooter Girl and Katie Webber.
The only ones that look the part of American Idol is Camille and Leah. Too bad they were either shakey from being nervous or just didn't have the range of the other competitors. Aside from Leah and Camille, there are some dogs on this show. Granted they're all good singers, but let's up the eye candy factor. Fantasia is an awesome performer. However, I feel much more comfortable keeping my eyes closed when she's on tv. I'm rooting for Camille even though she's probably packing it up next. But John Peter Lewis is my favorite. How can anyone not cheer for him and the glory he brings to the white man dance.
My wife and I have nicknames for most of the Idols: Jon Peter Lewis: "Ugly Ryan" (as in Ryan from the OC) or "The Hobbit" Matt Rogers: "Meathead" John Stevens: "Conan" George Huff: "Narc" (as in "21 Jump Street-ish officer posing as a high schooler") Jasmine Trias: "Lilo" (as in Lilo and Stitch) Leah LaBelle: "The b****" (she perfected the fake smile, but we saw through her...) Camile Velasco: "Camile the Seal" or "Miss Piggy" Fantasia Barrino: "Macy Gray" The rest are unworthy of nicknames as of now. For the record, I think LaToya London is gonna win it all.
See? I don't know about that. There's a lot of other singers that share her style, like Jennifer, Diana, and George. She's a good singer, but I like Fantasia better because she's got more of an R&B spunk to her singing.
If I want to listen to Fantasia's voice, I'll just buy a Macy Gray CD. They sound ridiculously alike.
She's had the best single performance in the entire competition so far... yeah... but he's got the teenage girls voting for him. plus as simon said, he is middle america. wow... jasmine is underrated. but yeah i guess her look is not mature enough.
I don't really like George. Seems like a great guy... but I don't really like watching him perform. My girlfriend thinks he's a little effeminate.
George all the way, baby! I might be on Spring Break, but I can still find time to come in and pimp the best American Idol ever! That was me. I was one of many friends who told him to shave his facial hair for a younger appearance. But got no props when they asked him why he shaved on the show. None of us know where the hell that cap came from, though. He's really not the type to wear stuff like that.
Well... just finished watching. and the dynamics are definitely changing. Amy... who was on the bubble, gave an AWESOME performance. The best of the night. George... is starting to look cooler... props to the style people. Jasmine, mean while... laid a huge dud... I hope she's not in danger. Diana... whoa... politically insensitive remark... that's gonna hurt her. I think Diana, Matt, Jennifer, Camile, and maybe Jasmine, are on the bubble. thoughts?
