Arguably the best player in the NFL signs for 6 mil a year. And the best part of it is, that's not even guaranteed money. Hard to believe.

Keep in mind that an NFL team fields like 60+ players compared to an NBA team with 12. But yeah, it's amazing that the NFL player's union seems to be so opposite of the MLB player's union.

actually if you divide up the NFL players by position and take the median of salaries, kickers are the highest paid players in the league, by more than $100K/year.

thats true because there are a lot of QB's and other players at positions making the minimum which decreases the median salary by a lot.

Most teams only have 1 Kicker, and if each team pays their kicker medium salary, It adds up to more than the median of others.
