Buzzfeeds list over represents LA, only lists Texas ONCE and doesn't even mention New Mexico in a list about Southwestern/Tex Mex cuisine???!! And no mention of Houston or San Antonio! Only a hipster place in Austin. http://www.buzzfeed.com/robfranklin/guac-is-a-dollar-extra-is-that-okay#r2ctcw Anyone have anything to add to the list? For starters, where is the Bulgogi Burrito from Chilantro?
I like The Dawson from Coreanos food truck. Marinated beef short rib, spicy marinated chicken, spicy twice cooked pork belly, french fries, cheese, and their el scorcho sauce. Add some Sriracha and you're in for one amazing burrito.
Dude. You're talking about BuzzFeed. They steal lists from Reddit or just make up crap randomly. Who cares about them?
All I know is y'all are lucky. Northern California: where mediocre burritos came to grow old and even worse. I like that this thread is offering me DEPEND Underwear protection. I am not that old and can still handle a burrito, thank you.
Any online best of restaurant list is always a hipster-centric list of spots because only hipsters don't have real jobs and have the time to eat at different hipster spots while also having the time to write blogs about it.
Anybody live in the Bay Area or visited and tried Sushirrito or something similar? It's a sushi burrito. Yes, I know it's not traditional by any means and it likely may not appease the Tex-Mex taste buds of the majority on this board but I don't care cause I'm not from there. To me it looks freaking delicious! I must try next time I go to SF for sure.
I may stop in there next Monday night. It looks like you get a free gift card for the amount you spend to be used at your next visit.
I've only had Cabo Bob's once (for a profit share), and it was not good. The queso was awful - some of the worst I've ever had. The fajita beef/steak was rubbery and chewy. Bullritos is better.
cabo bob's is pretty good...I like how they make your tortillas in front of you when you order. Still not better than chipotle, but what is?
