Farmers Market - Houston

    What are your goto local spots? I need some outdoor ideas since we're not melting from the heat yet.

    They have some nice ones in Bridgeland area in Cypress. That might be too far from you, but close to us anyway :)

    My experience is that every single one of them will be hit and miss depending on who and what is there. I remember the one on Airline being pretty great, but it's been a while.

    Some growers/farmers tend to specialize on what they grow and thus some that offer a wide variety of produce at a Farmer's Market might have grown some of it and bought/traded for the rest.

    Know your seasons because some fruits & vegetables don't grow well or grow at all in the Houston during certain times of the year. If somebody is able to sell something when it is unlikely to be locally grown at that time of the year, then they probably bought it wholesale. The place of origin might have been Mexico and you might have to ask to get that information.
