http://my.nba.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5800024794 What does this mean for our team? Well... Farmar is obviously shooting way better than Fisher is right now.. I think AB cannot leave Farmar as much as he left Fisher.. On offense, Farmar is a quicker guard than Fisher, I can't say he'll pose problems for AB because he really hasn't yet when he has played against him.. but I think that we have to be cautious about Farmar.. It's almost like inserting a Jason Terry into a lineup. He could very well hurt us.. Discuss...
we need fisher on the court as long as possible for us to have a chance. if he played in game 3, that game wouldve been much closer and we wouldve had a chance to take it
Who cares. Phil Jackson is changing his starting lineup which means he is scared. He could have easily started Fisher and just subbed Farmar in earlier in the game. Now, he has an underachieving young player starting and a veteran coming off the bench who was basically just told "you're not that good" by his coach. Win/Win.
Farmer is playing quite well. He is likely to do even better at home. Phil realizes this. Lowry will have to play extremely well in order to make things a bit easier for Brooks.
there's a reason why fisher has been starting over farmar all year.. i hope ra and the rockets exploit that weakness..
who cares. Just to let you know it doesn't matter who starts. Its all about who is going to finish. just for the hell of it why are we worrying about what the Lakers are doing anyway?? This is a rockets fan board. F... The Lakers!!!!!!!!
but they only need to win this one game. dfish has obviously been a huge liability for the lakers on both ends and everybody knows he should be benched for farmar and brown. phil thought he could get away with it, but now he has to resort to this. o well, if we play like we're capable, we should have a good chance.
Smart move by PJ. Fisher getting suspended was a bad thing for the Rockets and a good thing for the Lakers. Loyalty aside, a coach has to decide what is best for the team. Fisher has no business on the floor when AB is in the game. Unless it's a blowout or unless Farmar or Shannon Brown really stink it up, I see no reason for Fisher to play. The 1st quarter has been the key to the series. Starting Fisher would not be wise. I'm happy for Farmar because he is the only Laker player I like a lot. Rising from complete oblivion to starting game 7 of the 2nd round must be sweet for him. Maybe PJ will get over the trust issues with the guy.
Brooks will have to stay on Farmar tight b/c he has been knocking down those 3's and even stole the ball of couple of times from Brooks. There were many times Brooks strayed away from Farmar at the 3-point line and I was screaming at the tv b/c I knew that he was going to make the shot. Brooks better be on his game offensively AND defensively.
Moving Farmar to the starting lineup will probably help their 3-point shooting. It becomes more important for our players to be able to guard there man without needing too much double-team help.
exactly. if someone is trying to sell me the idea that this series is coming down to Jordan Farmar....I aint buyin. Here is the deal.......drain wide open 3's, and quit turning the ball over and we'll be in Denver on Tuesday.
Jackson should have done this a week ago. he's been too stubborn to let Farmar even get enough minutes to establish himself in the series now he's going to start him? whatever Jackson finally started USING his first half timeouts last game so maybe he's learning...
