Since LT is having a career scoring year, I'm curious to see if the LT owner is in the championship game in your fantasy league. The LT owner is playing for the title in both of my leagues. Too bad I passed on him with the #2 pick (was 8-6 without him...would have been 12-2 with him).
I'm f'ing pissed. I have LT and lost last week. After winning 8 games in a row to end the regular season. The guy who beat me almost doubled his average scoring for the past 5 weeks. Carson Palmer let me down, Peyton Manning didn't do the same for him. Plus, of all weeks to have Chicago's defense...and he had New England's defense. Of course, I outscored the other two teams in the playoffs last week. EDIT: In case anyone is interested. My team last week was: Carson, T.O., Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, LT, Marques Colston, Reggie Brown (Philly TE), Shayne Graham (Cinci kicker) and the Bears D. Yes, I had an awesome week and still lost, to... His team: Peyton, Javon Walker, Plaxico, Laverneus Coles, Warrick Dunn, Algee Crumpler, Steven Jackson, Adam Vinatierri and Pats D. Basically, I scored right around my average (and I outscored the 2nd place team in the regular season by 30%) and this guy had the freaking game of his life. Coles - 144 yrds and a TD. Steven Jackson - 127 yrds, 2 TD. Javon Walker had a td and only has 7 on the season....and Peyton went to town. I'm still pissed about it! Freaking 4 seed.
I'm playing the lt guy in my league for the championship next week. I'm just glad I'll be at least second place. I was talking to a friend last night and he lost to the LT owner in his league. What that guy has done is unbelievable, and I like that he set these records in 14 weeks. so they truly stand up to some other records from when it was a 14 week season. we're witnessing something truly special right now.
I just Beat LT in the semi final game. His WRs were too weak... Devery Henderson, Marcus Robinson, Deion Branch.
Unless you're a borderline idiot.... and only got LT because somebody told you to draft him with the #2 pick (but didn't help you out with anything else... and you stuck with terrible players, and didn't pick up any free agents)..... a team with LT was in contention for the title in virtually EVERY league. I venture to guess a lot of autopick teams end up winning it all this year... simply because of LT.
I have LT on my team and I am in the championship game this weekend. I ended up drafting him with the fourth pick if you can believe that (some boob drafted Tiki with the 2nd pick). I have had a pretty smoking year as I have Gore as my 2nd back (and Mcnabb prior to the injury).
My friend has LT in a fantasy league organized by 610 at that fantasy league gathering they had before the season. They ragged on him for taking LT with the #1 pick over Larry Johnson. Oops. The owner with LT in my league just lost by 3 in the semis. If LT had gotten one more yard last week to get him to 200 for the game, he would have gotten a 5 point bonus. Sucks to be him. As for me, I thought I had a pretty good starting lineup. Underachievers (Eli Manning, Chris Chambers, Ronnie Brown) killed me. I'll have to figure out who I want to keep as my two keepers. Frank Gore will probably be one of them, but the other one is up in the air (either Andre Johnson or maybe Joseph Addai if he wins the starting job at Indy).
I have LT and lost in my Fantasy Super Bowl this week, and the only reason I lost is because I had Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson playing as well. LT carried me all season.
What's funny is that he's been doing it for the better of 3+ years... yet every year, he's NOT the overall consensous #1 pick. He's always had to deal with a Marshall Faulk, Priest Holmes, Ricky Williams, or Larry Johnson.
n/m, you're not the one in my league. another player had LT on his team and totally dominated the league...12-2 record. first round playoffs come around and he gets knocked out. 8 seed over a 1. flashes of Denver Nuggets over Seattle Sonics.
I am in the same boat. We only get one keeper in my league and I have to decide between Gore, R.Brown, D.Williams (if Foster is gone somehow), or C.Benson (if he gets traded or something).
I'm in 6 leagues...and I have LDT in 0 leagues. I'm in 3 championship games...and I'm only facing LDT in 1 of them. In another one, I took out the LDT owner in the semifinals. And in the last one, his owner lost in the 1st round (to someone else)! (Other 3 leagues, LDT owner is in the championship in all 3 finals.. so I guess overall it's 4 out of 6)
I have LT and I am in the Championship Game this week. I got him with the #2 pick....and Westbrook in the 3rd round (total steal) I hope they can keep it up, I never win these things.
I lost to an LT team this weekend in 2 of my 4 leagues. The other league I won and face an LT team this weekend. And the 4th league I missed the playoffs completely. Got beat by 1 point repeatedly in that damn league. So, yeah, you're pretty much right on.
I had the #1 pick and drafted LJ over LT. However, I also have Gore so combining him and LJ basically equal LT. I'm in the championship but I'm in trouble. Opponent: His best players P.
