So how did everyone do in their fantasy football leagues this year? Our playoffs start this weekend, and I've got the #2 seed after a strong finish to the regular season....thanks in large part to my best buddy Larry Johnson. I've stuck with the same lineup for the past few weeks, so I'm a little hesitant about changing anything. Here is the lineup I've been going with: Trent Green KC - QB Dom Davis HOU - RB Larry Johnson KC - RB Anquan Boldin ARI - WR Reggie Wayne IND - WR Tony Gonzo KC - TE Josh Brown SEA - K Pittsburgh Defense I've been toying with the idea of benching Wayne this week, and starting TJ Houshmanzadeh in his place. Indy might not play their starters the entire game against the Chargers, and TJ has a weak matchup against Detroit. You think I should make the move, or just stick with the team that got me here?
Nice squad... Who are your other bench players Harrisment??? I got the #2 seed in my Yahoo league also . ___________________________________________ Starters: QB-Kurt Warner-(Ari - QB) @Hou WR-Marvin Harrison-(Ind - WR) SD WR -Anquan Boldin-(Ari - WR) @Hou WR -Hines Ward-(Pit - WR) @Min RB -LaDainian Tomlinson-(SD - RB) @Ind RB -Domanick Davis-(Hou - RB) Ari TE - Alge Crumpler-(Atl - TE) @Chi K- Neil Rackers-(Ari - K) @Hou DEF - Chicago (Chi - DEF)Atl BENCH Drew Brees-(SD - QB) @Ind Torry Holt-(StL - WR) Phi Roy Williams-(Det - WR) Cin Keenan McCardell-(SD - WR) @Ind Willie Parker-(Pit - RB)@Min L.J. I know Drew is a better option for most weeks, but this week seems pretty certain that Kurt has more potential to put up bigger numbers (Especially the way my league has set the scoring: ->Passing Yards (50 yards per point),Passing Touchdowns (6),Interceptions (-2),Rushing Yards (20 yards per point),Rushing Touchdowns (6),Reception Yards (20 yards per point),Reception Touchdowns (6),Return Touchdowns (6),2-Point Conversions (2),Fumbles Lost (-2),Offensive Fumble Return TD (6),Field Goals 0-19 Yards (3),Field Goals 20-29 Yards (3),Field Goals 30-39 Yards (3),Field Goals 40-49 Yards (4),Field Goals 50+ Yards (5),Point After Attempt Made (1) DEF. I am happy to report that my team (which has corporate sponsorship) is the #1 seed. I'm a bit worried, however, because of Dungy's plan to bench all Indy starters. I have Peyton and Edgerrin. Here's my squad: QB - Peyton Manning QB - Brad Johnson WR - Larry Fitzgerald WR - Rod Smith WR - Isaac Bruce RB - LaDanian Tomlinson RB - Edgerrin James TE - Erron Kinney WR/TE - Bobby Engram WR/RB - Clinton Portis K- Neil Rackers Def - Jacksonville
Yeah, I would definitely start Warner over Brees this week. The team I'm playing against is starting Warner, which sucks because that rules out any advantage I had with Boldin going up against the Texans. The rest of my bench looks like this: Marc Bulger QB - STL Chris Brown RB - TEN Marshall Faulk RB - STL Deion Branch WR - NE TJ Houshmanzadeh WR - CIN Rod Smith WR - DEN I've got good depth at WR, but I'm incredibly thin everywhere else. The only major injury I've had was when Deuce McAllister went out earlier in the year, and luckily I was able to tread water until Larry Johnson took over the starting job. It costs $3 per add/drop in our league, and I've been able to go through the full season with only making one move. I dropped Steve McNair and added Trent Green, someone made the mistake of dropping him after a few bad games.
I don't think Duny has any plans to bench all of the starters. He came out just a few days ago and said they will do everything they can to win their remaining games, and the regulars will continue to start. Now I'm sure they won't all play the entire game, but usually 3 quarters of a Colts offensive player is just as good as anybody else for 4 quarters.
Question now is, do I start Domanick as of 11:45AM on Sunday (he is listed as questionable & did not practice today I do not think)or whenever the absolute final deadline is to submit your final roster changes for the Sunday games. I got Willie Parker ready to get me 4 points (Bettis gets all the touchdowns it seems like for the Steelers running game)
#1 Seed in my NFL.com league. I have to make decisions on my starting QB and starting WR soon. Here's my squad: QB - Drew Brees RB - Shaun Alexander RB - Tiki Barber WR - Hines Ward WR - Plaxico Burress TE - Antonio Gates K - Nate Keading DST - Steelers Bench: QB - Matt Hasselback RB - Rueben Droughns WR - Randy Moss WR - Deion Branch K - Matt Stover
I'm in the playoffs in all 3 of my leagues going into the semis this week. I am hoping to come away with at least 1 title this year, my best hope is my #1 seeded team in an 8 team yahoo league, anything other than the title would be a disappointment since I scored about 300 more points than the 2nd place team. This is my lineup... QB - Carson Palmer WR - Steve Smith WR - Torry Holt WR - Randy Moss TE - Antonio Gates RB - Shaun Alexander RB - Cadillac Williams K - Neil Rackers D - Bears Bench QB - Kurt Warner WR - Brandon Lloyd WR - Dante Hall l WR - Donte' Stallworth RB - Mike Anderson RB - Ryan Moats K - Josh Brown
Well I'm in trouble. F'kin Tiki Barber just had to have the game of his life the week I'm playing against him in the fantasy playoffs. I still haven't made a decison on whether to start Wayne or Housh. I had to insert Chris Brown as a RB since it doesn't look like Dom Davis will be able to go. Not looking good.
i'm pissed....my #1 seed fantasy team is looking like it's going to get upset. first of all, it annoys me that 8 out of 12 teams make the playoffs in this league...the numbers are way too high. second of all, it annoys me that i have to play the hottest team in the league. they started awful but they have larry johnson and turned it on late in the season. and rod smith had a big game for them yesterday too. i need shaun alexander to have another 4 td game
Wow, my game is going to come down to the end. I'm currently up 108-101, but he has Todd Heap playing tomorrow night. Hopefully the Packers decide to play some sort of defense on him.
