The order has been determined and we're ready to start! Although the official draft start date is March 1st, we can start it now whenever we want. It's just that the 24 hour time limit for each pick won't kick in until tomorrow.

Ren managed to get the first pick of the draft - congrats to him. I pick second, so I'm happy about that.

I think we should use this forum as a home base throughout the draft, like PhiSlammaJamma suggested, so we can co-ordinate our picks and just discuss stuff.

I'm eager to get started. It's up to Ren now to make the first pick! [IMG]

Ren and Fade, I'll trade up to 1 or 2 if a fair deal.

I'd give you a late round pick for free or
I'd flip flop my picks with you in the
2nd, 4th and 10th round. Giving you a few spots advantage in each round.

By the way, I'll be in computer training tomorrow all day so I won't have email, but will check the bbs and rumor mills frequently since I'll be on a computer. So I'll be able to make my picks. I'll also be on line tonight for about an hour between 11:1am ESt if your guys make your picks.

Finn, I'm willing to trade down if the first two picks go as expected. Make a fair deal and we could work something out.

On second thought, I think I will stay put PSJ. I see potential where I am.

Describe your picks so we have some light reading while we are waiting...

Alex Rodriquez: SS: 3rd Pick Overall

I was sad to see Johnson and Martinez come off the draft Board. It was expected, but sad. After drying my eye I drafted down the middle and went after the best SS in the majors. Alex had to be the pick. He has been very consistent. My only concern will be his adjustment to playing in Texas, but the line up is killer, so his output should be good in all five categories. Maddux was very tempting for me and I'll leave it at that.

Well. Randy Johnson at #2 was a bit of a no-brainer. I was kind of hoping that Ren would take Johnson and leave me Pedro, but I'll gladly take Big Unit.

Well, with the 1st pick it was either between Johnson and Pedro for me,obviously!

But you can bet I will make some stupid picks before this draft is up!!!

I was going to go after a SP the 1st RD no matter what pick I had,i was going to try in wait until the 3rd round to get my 1st position player but I might end up caving!!!

Ren just called me and said he locked himself out of the house, so won't be able to make any picks.

Well, I'm off for the night. Hopefully, a bunch of picks will be made when I get back. [IMG]

I'm ready to go. As a note, my internet access will now be limited to early morning and late at night, so if I end up causing a mid-day delay, I apologize in advance.

I'm ready to go. I got my copmuter off limits and I'll be checking all day. Just so y'all know, I'm gonna be pretty busy this weekend, so I may be slow in drafting after today, so let's get this done as quickly as possible today.

Damn.. still no picks this morning.

I hope this shady nemers guy didn't desert us.

Maybe the slow draft format wasn't such a good idea..

I'll be hopping off and on all day, so you shouldn't have to wait very long for any of my picks.

I think everyone should try to make at least 3-4 picks a day.. probably more.

It's a really long draft (25 rounds) and it'll take forever if we don't get the ball rolling.
