    Video: Tracy McGrady Getting Hung

    Posted Feb 10th 2009 11:10AM by Nate Jones (author feed)

    Filed Under: Rockets, NBA Last Night, NBA Videos
    Tracy McGrady has complained about not being healthy the entire season. His left knee hasn't completely healed and it's been showing in his production. Tracy's been trying to get the thing right, but Monday night we found out that he obviously still has a long way to go. It pains me to post this video.

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PKggO62YPs4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PKggO62YPs4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

    That was just sad. Tracy McGrady is one of the most explosive players in the history of the game. To see him struggle to get off the ground for a dunk brings tears to my eyes. Look at what Tracy used to do in his prime:

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CdRq7Ayf9dk&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CdRq7Ayf9dk&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

    Tracy should just shut it down for the season and try to get himself right for next year. He's not helping the Rockets being out there like he is now.

    At first I was mad at him...but now I just feel sorry for him. Unfortunantly he's been a loser his whole career and now he's hit rock bottom.

    Its crazy because it really hurts to watch him play right now...He used to be one of my favorite players, but now its time for travis to take old yeller out to the pasture

    I really think he should just shut it down this season. The team this year seems better without him and I think the Rockets could establish more continuity and finally gel without his inconsistencies.

    Next year we can re-evaluate and potentially trade him as an expiring.

    He only missed one year of playoffs with Houston and that was the year where everyone got injured. Never got out the first round with us but hes proven that he gets the most out of all his players. I don't recall the team playing this inconsistent during the JVG era. They sure as hell weren't giving up 100+ points night after night.

    Anybody remember near the end of his career Hakeem getting his dunk blocked by the rim? That's about how I felt after seeing that TMac dunk failure.

    The only difference is that McGrady hasn't even turned 30 yet!

    I remember like it was yesterday. I believe it was on TNT and we were playing the Raptors. I was like, "Damn. The Dream is actually human."

    It's embarassing. TMac should bow out gracefully and retire. His body wasn't built for an extra-long NBA career.

    no its not that bad he just wont help anyone this season and he needs to (for the good of himself AND the rockets, if u think about it) to shut it down this year and say nothing other than he knows he is sucking and he is not helping anyone while playing, and that the rockets might actually be better off with someone healthy playing like wafer going forward than with him, at least it removes all uncertainties about him fitting in and screwing up team chemistry

    i know it will be a PR death sentence for him with rockets fans, but i think thats the only way to salvage his career and then he can start fresh somewhere else when his last year contract is run out

    Best case scenario for the Rockets: T-Mac's traded before the deadline or he retires.
    Second best case scenario: T-Mac's benched for the rest of the season and traded in the off-season.
    Worst case scenario: The Rockets keep T-Mac.

    Yeah, being considered one of the top 5 shooting guards your entire career is definitely "loser" status...
    <br>
    That being said, he has really fallen off..

    Fanhouse has been linking to cluthfan vids for quite a while now. I mean, they posted our vid for the Boston fight from preseason, plus quite a few more since then.

    He's never won anything. If you don't win that leaves...losing.

    Learn the English language.
    There's a difference between being a "loser", and losing.

    Losing doesn't always justify being a loser.
    <br>
    I guess by your definition Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, John Stockton, and others are all losers too..
