    I love fanduel

    Here is my stat profile
    https://www.fanduel.com/users/pwnalot

    pwnalot 475wins $1,193.59winnings

I started my account off at the beginning of the NBA season with $25 and still have missed about 2weeks worth of games

I'll send any of you guys my picks if you would like as long as you registered via my referral- because I make more money if the players I referred make money

Right now I have two players referred and here are their stats for this month- granted they don't play too much

    screwdriver832 79wins $344.26winnings
    davidjasmin 7wins $74.00winnings

So these are legit? I wonder how many failure stories there are, versus success stories.

So you're up 1k from $25? Did you enter all of your $25 on the first game or enter with a smaller amount?

Nice article posted above...tend to agree. I have been in two very competitive (as in 9 out of 10 people in each league know a ton about football and pay attention) leagues for 10 years and have been very successful over the years.

I thought that I would take my "game" to fanduel last year and played for 3 weeks...about 6 games per week...and the results were not good. Just decided to cut my losses then and there. This article makes me feel better about that!

I read an article recently that essentially mentioned it's near impossible to get high jackpot payouts in Fanduel / Draftkings due to the sharks or big players. You could have drafted Marriota, Antonio Brown, and Lamar Miller as value picks last week and still would have lost to a bigger firm who would have submitted tens of thousands of entries with several containing those three along with Sammy Watkins and Delanie Walker.

There are entities that have data scientists specifically running various algorithms to maximize the payout to draft value ratios and put in essentially $300K - 500K entries each week with a >50% chance of winning a million. Which pretty much kills the everyday man's chances of winning the jackpot ever, but might still yield occasional winnings.

This isn't entirely correct. Most tournaments are capped at 200 entries max and at $25 a pop that means most sharks aren't willing to risk $5000 at a very small chance of hitting a top 10 finish.

I know an expert from Rotogrinders who uses one lineup and placed 12th in Millionaire Maker 4 weeks ago. The guys who are using algorithms do have the advantage, but they are targeting cash games like Double ups and 50/50s where slightly less than half the field cashes.

The problem is that most people who are good at fantasy sports think that translates to DFS. It really doesn't. This is like day trading vs long term investing. Totally different animals and you have to study and put in research to be able to do it well.

I write a blog on my own DFS journey. Made about 200% ROI this past week in NFL. Check my sig if you want to learn what I do and how I make decisions.

doesn't the #1 player on one of those sites stake a few hundred grand a week with a 7% ROI? Heard one of the big gamblers talking about it on the radio a while ago.

I'm all in with support for the NY AG, mostly because I hate those incredibly annoying and ridiculously douchy commercials and am willing to trample people's rights to waste money so that my TV is not polluted with that crap. And for those of you talking about how you play these things, my mental image of you is, of course, douche. (No offense.)

You truly believe that someone who devotes time to make money doing something they are passionate about means they must be a douche? That's a pretty large generalization coming from a poster of your reputation.

Do you also view all stock market day-traders as douches?

The commercials are ubiquitous and annoying, but I guess you are totally fine with other forms of advertising?

The mute button usually does the trick for me.
