That guy had to be carried out of the building after making contact with a basketball? What a shameful acting job. I smell $$$ in what he's thinking.
i'm glad that fan got booed. what a loser. kg lightly tosses the ball into the stands, hits a guy who obviously isn't paying attention to the game, and the guy sits there acting like he got shot or something. kg goes and apologizes anyway, and the guy just shoots him a glare, like how dare you toss a ball not going fast enough to injure a a fly in the stands. that guy should never be allowed at sporting event again.
Pure acting job. I've been hit in the head by a basketball 10 times faster than KG's toss, and I didnt have to get wheeled out on a stretcher.
This is old news, but the guy isnt pressing any charges and claims he isnt going to file any lawsuits.. maybe he really did get hurt..
Once some lawyers start talking to him he'll change his mind. I wouldn't have the balls to act hurt in a situation like that, but once you already look like a pu**y you might as well get paid for it.
I've got a different take. Why do so many NBA players act like spoiled children? I'm sure KG didn't mean to hit anyone. But why throw a ball like that in the first place? Why not just toss it to the ref like you're supposed to? Man-child indeed. I hope he gets suspended for a game or two. This is one of the reasons why I love Yao. You can't picture him tossing balls in the first row. He's got class. Guys like him, Clyde, and Dream are men among boys.
I'm wondering if our reaction would be different if the player who threw the ball was, say, Wally Sczerbiak (when he was still there of course) rather than KG. Would we still maintain that the fan is a wimp after getting hit, or would the first dozen posts in this thread touch on the fact that Sczerbiak should have been more careful and responsible?
I would agree with you if KG just chunked the ball in some kind of crazy fashion but he tossed it, a ton of players do that, I don't think he was trying to throw it in the first row just kind of toss it.
I highly doubt he will win a case...at least I know in baseball it says on the back of hte ticket that MLB is not responsible for any injuries caused from the field of play. I'm sure the NBA has something similar to it, and as long as they prove KG wasn't trying to throw the ball at a specific person they should be okay I would think.
clearly you didn't see what happened. it was absolutely nothing...the guy is a p***y and shouldn't have acted the way he did. rather, he should have accepted KG's apologies and KG would have probably given him a jersey or something...but the fan (if you can call him that) was a b****.
Uhhh, if he actually was hurt, he definitely wouldn't say he wasn't going to sue. Hopefully the guy (or maybe his wife) saw the replay of how stupid he acted and realized he had some small amount of dignity left. I'm amazed no one has commented on his crying child. Maybe that traumatized her enough to never want to go back to an NBA game (maybe the guy too, which is fantastic news!). That means fewer idiot fans who know nothing about basketball!!!
