Are the Rockets going to be at any locations this year, like they were last year? I met Steve for the thrid time last year at the fire house. I also met Mobely for the second time. Other Rocket players were Oscar, Morris and Collier. Turbo and Gene Peterson were also in attendance. Has anybody heard anything about this year?
Actually I was counting on this to supplement my Cuttino Mobley ticket pack for this season. I think with all these other events the Rockets might not be doing it this year? I just hate going through ticketgouger and paying a $3 surcharge per ticket on 10-13 dollar tickets. Of course, to mention ticketgouger.com is to start me ranting again. Let's just say I needed tickets to the opener: Hmm, ok, search for 2 tickets to the Raptors. Select best available for $10....Sorry, we can't find any tickets at the price you requested. Try searching for best available. Click back. Select best available for $13 and submit....Sorry, we can't find any.... Click back. Select BEST AVAILABLE and submit...We have two tickets available for $525. Total price $1061. (A little out of my price range) Sigh dramatically...and click back. Select best available for $34 and submit....Sorry, we can't find any.... Select best available for $46 and submit....Sorry, we can't find any.... Select best available for $59 and submit....We have two tickets available for $59. Convenience charge is $8.40. Tax is $0.70. Order processing is $2.70. Ok, so not are they charging me $12 on a $120 purchase, it's a major pain in the a** as well. The best part? I went to check on tickets for the Cleveland game. it was easy to get $10 tickets for this, but even though they knock down the convenience charge to $2.50 per ticket, it still costs $28 for two $10 tickets. ARRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE TicketMaster. Anyhoo, rant over. Question: Can you buy tickets for future games at the ticket booths at Compaq Center?
I feel your pain Snipe. Them bastards at tickemaster arent as bad as the Compaq Center box office though. Get this. I got tixs last wednesday for Thursday game vs. the Sixers. While I was there I asked to get tixs to the Raptors game this Sat. She said all they had was tixs that started at $34. Went to Wherehouse music, same thing. Went to school, checked online and they said they had them. Checked the next day before the game and Ticketmaster.com did say that they still had the tixs. Went to check while I was at the Sixers game, asked if they had the $10 tixs availiable. I was happy to get those. What I am pissed is that they hold tixs. That is a bunch of crap Why in the hell do they hold tixs? I think this is the reason why our attendance is low. People want to go get tixs and when they go up there they assume the tixs they want is sold out. But in reality it isnt. Even one of the employees at the Box Office at the Compaq Center told me that they do hold tix and just to check often for avaliability.
The Compaq Center box office is the best place to buy your tix. If I recall correctly, they don't charge the ticketmaster fee... (can anyone confirm this? I'm not sure) I just remember purchasing tickets at the window once and commenting on how there wasn't a big fee... And you can buy tix for any home game there.
That is correct, there is no fee for purchasing tixs at the box office. I prefer buying it there but as i said before, the hold back tixs which sucks.
Since you bought the Cuttino game pack you can call up the Rockets ticket office and order tickets over the phone with no extra charge, and they will mail the tickets to you. B
