What so-called "famous" restaurants have you ever dined in? 1. Sardi's in NYC after seeing "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" in 1978 2. Bookbinder's in Philadelphia 3. The Oyster Bay House (name?) in Boston
Bookbinders closed down awhile ago, the food and service was getting awful but it may be reopened. Haven't checked it out in awhile.
Bob Chinn's Crab House in Wheeling, IL. Usually in the top 3 or so in volume. They used to have a crab ravioli that was amazing, but they took it off their menu. Billy Goat Tavern in Chicago. Made famous by the SNL skit "cheezeborger, cheezeborger".
I ate at the Dixie Pig this past weekend in Abilene. Jack Kerouac ate there while he was writing On The Road It was a small diner with ceramic and plastic pigs all over the place, it had diner counter seating along with tables. Breakfast was super cheap and the pancakes were fat and tasty!!
