After watching this week's Family Guy, I am tempted to say it might be funnier than Seinfeld. I'm a die hard Seinfeld fan, but I think Family Guy has overtaken Seinfeld. Not by a mile. Family guy may have high points that are up there with the best, but they too often become a one-trick point with those endless "that's just like the time.." random scenes. It has half the intelligence of the Simpsons, and can't hold Seinfeld's joke in the humor department. It's really enjoyable, but a out-of-nowhere reference to sometimes obscure 80s pop culture isn't actually humor, more amusing. Seinfeld made its mark with humor. Evan
I've always thought Family Guy was funnier than Seinfeld. Seinfeld had moments but its formula got very predictable and annoying.
I can't choose. They both have two very different types of humor. They're both gut-wrenching funny, though.
Me too. Couldn't stand it. I also do not see the fascination with adult cartoons. I guess I'm just not cool enough.
you should be able to make multiple choices in this poll. i voted Family Guy is funnier than Seinfeld, but i also think that "neither of them is the funniest." i laugh out-loud at both, but much harder and more frequently watching FG. it may have something to do with the fact that i can relate more to the 80s pop-culture references than i can to early 90s jewish eccentricities.
A freaking cartoon could never compare to a funny show with actual actors, let alone a legendary show like Seinfeld. But that's just me I guess.
It's better than Seinfeld, but not Curb IMO.. If Larry David played himself on Seinfeld with that awesome cast then I'd say YES Seinfeld would be better than FG, but even then none of these shows are the best comedies ever IMO..
Family Guy's funny stuff is the same crap: "Ha ha ha! That's weird! Like that time that [insert obscure flashback reference here with an obscure actor of the 80s]" [flashback starts. Ends with someone making a face to the camera] Family Guy is funny only to those who like repetitive slapstick. Ummm... that means ME. But it's NOT funnier than Seinfeld.

Seinfeld over Family Guy any day. Especially the newer family guy episodes which really became a one trick pony with those flashbacks. It really lost its appeal for me.
Ive never liked seinfeld for my taste. i think everyone has a different taste in humor, so its unfair to say which one is funnier. we're comparing 2 completely different types of tv shows and comedies even. both are respecitvely funny, but in different way. it just depends on your taste.
