AI said that he wants to play with Yao! Heard this on a sports radio show............. Reporter: "What do you think about the recent rumors about you going to Houston for Steve Francis and Eric Piatkowski?" Iverson: "I can't really say anything about it now you know. But they got Yao and I want to play with him. He's gonna to be the best player in the league for a long time." Reporter: "Francis is BYC so until July 1st, he can only be traded for 50 percent of his trade value. So does that mean this deal would happen in the Summer?" Iverson: "I don't know if it's gonna happen, I'm just a player, it's not up to me. But yea I guess so, I mean if that's what they[management] want to do." Reporter: "You say you want to play with Yao, why is that?" Iverson: "Cuz man, the guy is just unbelievable. Are you kidding me? Me and Yao, no one could stop us, no one." Reporter: "How good do you think Yao ming is?" Iverson: "He's unreal man, he's like a gift from God. He's going to be the best to ever play this game, we should be thankful he was sent to us." Reporter: "So have you asked to be traded to play with Yao Ming? Is that what this stems from?" Iverson: "I want rings man, 5 or 6 like Michael and Magic. If me and Yao were on the same team, we could win that many no problem." Reporter: "Is that a yes or no." Iverson: "I love Yao, I want to play with him."
Seems like you made this up, but I'm not calling you a liar. It just seems that his answers isn't something a NBA player would say. What show were you watching?
Sounds like Bill Walton. I just wonder who would get all of the shots between Cat, Yao and the Answer. I don't see it happening unless Eric Snow is part of the deal. Not sure if that works out money wise.
