This Super Bowl is cursed... from freak ice/snow storm to now this during Super Bowl week. Four apparently injured and one other in critical condition : http://www.wfaa.com/news/local/Several-injured-by-falling-ice-at-Cowboys-Stadium-115309949.html
Hope everybody is ok who was involved in the end . To say it's cursed is ridiculous ....Mother nature doesn't discriminate, or does it ? . It is unfortunate that is happenned , but the new stadium is a like the '"Taj Mahal" of NFL stadiums .Having 105,000 people inside the stadium is beyond epic.
I think the curse is more on the stadium itself -- didn't one of the structures collapse on top of a bunch of people sometime ago?
Economic impact of having the Super Bowl is pretty muted when so many restaurants and businesses are closed down for so long.
Goodell and co. have made a major mistake by awarding these three Super Bowls to non-proven sites (Dallas, Indy, NY). Its almost as if they're setting the whole thing up for epic failure to justify putting it in just one of three locations from 2015 on out (Miami, California, New Orlenas). I was previously wanting another Super Bowl back in Houston, but now I could care less... let the Dallas' and other non-ideal warm weather cities fall flat on their face and get a week of ridicule. If the host site generates negative press, it really does take some of the luster and excitement from the build-up of the game itself.
