I have one. Don't really check it like most people do. It's like email to my roomate, the dude is ALWAYS on it. Kind of like me and CF.net
I have resisted Facebook for 5 years. Now that I'm becoming addicted to CF, don't get me started on another one
I have been on FB for a while but I am not addicted to it. I was at first but like MySpace I might check it once a week now.
Love facebook. Its more efficient and sometimes more effective than talking to people on the phone or IRL.
Face book is better, IMO. and maybe a little bit safer. Btw, I'm trying to add Tracy Lamar McGrady to be my friend, i hope thats really him and he will accept it. hehe
agreed, why don't people go out and meet/get to know people normally instead of creeping out and staring at their facebook page, it weirds me out so bad
I got FB when UH was first registered for it... so a good couple of years ago. I got off it last semester because it got reallllllly annoying with all those new additions and gadgets. I liked it when it was simple, before it turned into a stalker machine and they force info's about what others are doing down your throat. Plus people started to piss me off with their little invitations and fb mails and msgs and al;k^%$TGH%E745tg4we$% too many things! Now all I do is get on here. FB is a thing of the past. However I still get on thru my gf's sn when I wanna see new pictures of some hot girls I know.
Here here. Seriously, myspace sucks. I have both, and the only thing myspace is good for is listening to music, but you don't have to be signed up to do that. Facebook kills myspace in every other way... especially when it comes to photosharing.
What, you don't have Outlook? Besides, picking up my phone and finding my friend's number is 10 times more efficient.
And that's a what? 5 minute coversation? With outlook, you have to have their e mail addy. I don't know any of my friends emails and I could look it up buy why? I can to to the send message link and start typing in the NAMES of my friends and they get auto selected once i'm a few letters in. After that, I can send one big message to all of them. Or I can go spend 2 minutes making small comments on 5 or 10 people's page that continues are seeminly steady friendship, thereby keeping the ability for future favors or whatever you might get from a friend. facebook is designed with efficency and networking in mind
I think he was talking about maintaining contact...not contact INFO. Calling a large number of people often isn't feasible.. but maintaining contact through a series of short messages every few days or once every couple of weeks even isn't too hard. I'm enjoying Scrabulous on facebook.. generally, I didn't like the application add-ons, but it's fun playing scrabble on there with friends. But you don't have to play non-stop. Just make your move when you have time. If you're both on at the same time, you can go back and forth like normal.
