I'm sick and tired of everyone saying, "well we're not at full strength", "it's still early", "well at least we're showing signs".. BS!! Good teams rise, and bad teams fall. Check the standings. The good teams are on top with no excuses and the bad teams are on the bottom with no excuses. We're just not that good. We're undersized at point. We're now undersized at center. Our sf is a huge offensive liability, and his defense is near gone. Our sg is a scorer with no defense. Our pf is the only one doing good! I know everyone wants to be optimistic because "we were supposed to be good". Everyone in the offseason (including me) predicted a breakout year for the Rockets, and now it looks like a breakdown year. It's time to be realistic, Yao was our only hope to be elite. You CANNOT win without a decent center in the nba. Chuck Hayes at center in the final minutes just isn't gonna cut it. Stop lying to yourselves. We do suck, and its not looking promising. 1-6?? Seriously?? We would have to go on a 5 game winning streak just to break even!! Not gonna happen. Lets not even talk about being a winning team yet, because honestly, I don't think we'll be a winning team till December.. It's time to stop ignoring that Adelman is making stupid decisions. It's time to stop ignoring that Hayes is not a center. It's time to stop ignoring that Battier is hurting this team. It's time to stop lying to ourselves and realize that we just plain aren't good. Don't get me wrong, I love my Rockets but I'm just facing reality. It's time we all do the same.
I do think this team is going nowhere this year, they are better than the 1-6 record though even with Yao. My main problem is we have a backcourt that provides no defense and we have no playmakers. Martin fills up the stat sheet but can't make key plays in crunch time and that's what people like Chris Paul, Kobe, Lebron, etc can do. I know that's the upper tier of stars but ok, do we even have a play maker like Billups on the team? Until we get a legitamte playmaker, doesn't even have to a PG, just someone with good court vision and can find ways for his team to score, the team will always suffer in crunch time and win occaisional blow out games against weak teams because of the scoring power of kevin martin, scola and brooks, but when Kevin martin is your best player but can't make big time plays, we will be just as good as sacramento was before they traded him.
Now that we have accepted the truth it's time to do something positive Morey! Lets get our Landry, Wafer, Artest, Mutombo kind of guys back on this team! We had something going MAN!!!!!

Not that I disagree with any of your points but the Rox do not "suck". They've lead in every 4th qtr and could VERY easily be 3-4 or 4-3. Saying that, the team feels wrong, they seem to be out of sync. I am beginning to wonder if this is the right group of players or if they are in their right roles. Daryl sounded frustrated this morning, I know he is a level headed guy but I wonder if he won't pull off a move sooner rather than later to create sometime of spark or wake up call?

Very true and very well said. I love how whenever we suck this bad and somebody makes a truthful thread, people give it 1-2 stars, and when we suck this bad and someone makes a laughable unrealistically positive thread like, "Its ok, were down but not out, theres still hope to win the title", and it gets 5 stars. So lame and cheesy....
I think you just didn't read the rest of what everyone was saying. We're so deep... with part of the Toyota center being underground. Our bigs are great... at changing the smoke detector battery. Yao will be a monster... for Halloween.

The team didn´t work out, I hope we dont re-sign yao after this fiasco... the funny thing is the team will at some point get on a roll an come 9th on the conference, getting stagnated at mediocre
The only way I can console myself right now is to keep telling myself that this roster is not the one we're gonna finish the season with. The losses to the Lakers and Hornets I can stomach but last night was pretty awful.
