so this is it. Red bull already clinched the constructors championship. Who will take the Drivers? I'm hoping for either Webber or Alonso. not a fan of vettel or lewis
As an aussie I am hoping for Webber. Will all come down to what Vettel decides to do if he can't win it, does he help his team mate and let him take the win. Should be a great race
I doubt he helps, nor does his team. they seem to be hung up on vettel. definitely should be a great race, qualifying will be really good as well. I just got done watching practice
Would not be surprised if on the last lap Webber was winning, Vettel was second and Alonso was third that Vettel decides to crash... he is easily that big of a douche. The only way he helps Webber if someone from Red Bull the company tells them to do it as Horner would lick Vettel's balls without him even asking. If this was the other way around Webber would of been helpeing Vettel for the last 8 rounds and if it was any other team Webber would of wrapped it up with the help of his team mate. I'm obviously hoping for Webber to get it but I think one of those 3 will crash our or have engine problems... knowing Marks luck Vettel and Alonso crash out together so he just has to finish in the top few spots and then his engine goes on the last lap!
As a Brit I gotta go with Lewis but I won't mind if Webber wins. Just not Alonso. What happened to Jenson this season? I stop watching a few races and I see he's not in contention anymore???
Been a Ferrari (not to be confused with ferrari77) fan since I was little. Will definitely be rooting for Alonso.
He's had a below par season. Facing a lot of issues driving in a Mclaren. Never really been on the same pace as Hamilton this year. Red bull was obviously holding back in practice. Pretty sure Alonso won't be a factor in this race. His engine situation is a real disadvantage. I'm hoping Webber will win. He's a good role model for the sport.
Latest practice lap times. 1 VETTEL Red Bull 1m40.696s 2 WEBBER Red Bull 1m40.829s 3 HAMILTON McLaren 1m41.280s 4 ALONSO Ferrari 1m41.490s
Catching the time trial replay on speed channel -- the new course in Austin will be twice as big and 4x as exotic as the Abu Dhabi course.
I'm not so sure they're hung up on Vettel. They've always been anti-team orders and let the drivers drive. Even with the whole wing thing back at Silverstone (Vettel's wing broke in practice, but nobody mentions that - they just wanted him to have the wing he was used to) it's been every man for himself since day one. Besides, the wing didn't even matter there, given the results.
Mmmm and helpfully had a team mate and a team willing to break the rules... lets face it if they didn't cheat it's likely there's one point in it and not 8... makes a bit of a difference. Sure hes been good but still cheating should never be rewarded.
