Had our live draft at 9:30 last night. I had to accommodate for people traveling and a couple of guys who live on the west coast. Damn thing lasted until midnight. What happens? Yahoo has a "server problem" and basically loses our draft. We have to do it all over again tonight. It's no easy thing making sure 10 adults with lives and families can get together at any one point...especially when 1 is in Florida, 2 are in Washington state, 1 is in Oregon, and the rest are spread all over Texas. The one saving grace for me is that I screwed up my draft a bit. I wasn't paying attention and drafted 3 WR's with the same bye week. At least I get to fix that mistake.
Yahoo basically screwed us completely last night. I had a draft set up for 7:45pm and had everything ready to go, but it wouldn't let me start the draft for a list of possible reasons: There is a server problem. You are not the commissioner of this league (which I was). Your league is not in pre-draft mode. There are not 4 managers in your league (we had 9). After going through the entire website a couple times, I read that scoring will not count if there are an odd number of teams. So I try to kick someone out but what do I get? Server Error. Finally I tell everyone to screw it and then I get an e-mail an hour later saying we missed our draft because there was an odd number of teams.
They've been having all kinds of problems lately. Baseball scoring has been screwed up for days. I'm getting a little tired of this crap from them. All they say is sorry. I want free Stat Tracker damnit!
