This is bad because I thought Kobayashi was unbeatable until some guy recently beat his world record for hot dogs. I wanted the two to go head to head and see if Kobayashi could lose. Every time I've seen him compete he blows away the so-called competition and I wanted to see him lose. Now it won't be the same because his jaw is shot.

Is this time for the obligatory "USA, USA!!" chant since the guy who beat his record is from the US? Nah....... ;)

i guess now we can give all the food that Kobayashi was going to eat, to the starving people of the world. that might be a better idea than to waste food on competitions.

Competitive eating can take a toll on the jaw. When I was training to eat the 72oz steak in Amarillo, my jaw locked up after about 2.5 pounds. After that, I decided to give up on that dream.

somehow I don't associate "training" and "sport" with competitive eating. so did you get the steak free? that's the payoff right?

Folks, this is the equivalent of Jordan breaking his right hand at his peak. The difference is Kobayashi dunks hotdogs....Yeah, that's the only difference.
