I am geussing both extremes are being cause by gloabal warming. Which extreme do you prefer or is at least more tolerable?

Personally, I prefer a 98 degree day over this freezing weather, at least my car isn't frozen shut in 98 degree weather.

Cold because you can control how comfortable you are with clothes...

It cost more to protect yourself from hot weather than cold, but you can't ever really be completely comfortable in cold weather. Plus, women wear less clothing in warm weather.

What feels better? A blast of hot air in your face when you're cold? Or a blast of cold air in your face when you're hot? Nuff said.

It's more tantalizing to be intrigued by what's inside the thick and full clothing.

This is silly. It isn't even that cold out. Live in Chicago or somewhere that really gets cold and then b****. It's nice to actually have some cold weather. I wish (sans the rain) it would stay this cold or colder for a month or so.

I lived in Chicago, and moved to Houston for a reason. I get to b****.

Nuff said? I see them both as being pretty welcome. And, if it is hot air when you're cold, for example, does that mean hot is better because the heat is welcome, or cold is better because you don't want the heat when you have the cold. I have no idea how you voted.

can we define EXTREME heat or cold??

if you're talking about temps around 105 with extreme heat

and temps around 0-10 or so with extreme cold...

i'm taking extreme heat. at least it cools off somewhat at night.

    I'm all about mystery :)

I voted for extreme heat. Because I hate getting heat blown in my face. I can only stand it for so long before I start to nose bleed. On the other hand, when it's hot I can stand there in front of an open refrigerator all day... or until I get yelled at.

I hate sweating. I was born and raised in Houston, so I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. That's why I LOVE cold weather. Because it's so rare.

I agree. I like it because it rarely happens and when it does I love it

A few years ago I worked for 4 months straight in Boston - December through April. Got hit by 2 Nor'Easters. Once I was stuck in the hotel for a week because the place I was consulting at shut down. Ate fruit all week because most restaurants closed too.
    I hate the cold.

I am fine with dry heat, but I can't stand year-round high humidity that usually comes with high heat. Compared to places like New Orleans and Houston, Midwest sure looks like the lesser of the two evils.

I would define extreme as anything above 100 or below 10... those are the conditions where most of us have to make some adjustments to the daily routine.

And by the way, there were nights this summer when large parts of AZ didn't get out of the 80's and I've been sleeping outdoors on nights when it didn't get below 100 until around midnight. Most uncomfortable.

If I were single, I'd probably prefer the heat, but waking up with Mrs. rimrocker in a warm bed on a cold day is pretty nice.

So you think that this cold front we have right now is worthy of b****ing?

I prefer cold weather to cold because no sweating right when I step outside, no bugs, no burning myself on hot car leather or metal outside, no yard work, hunting, big time holidays, and I can keep going.
