Someone just told me to get to tonights game early because we are back to everyone getting the Magic Wand Treatment at the door.

Anyone have any idea why they are doing this?
    Fear after yesterdays explosion?
    or
Is it because it is a sold out arena?

Anyways just a heads up to those going to tonights game.

Dammit - these "wandings" and pat downs are so pointless.

The people who give them are poorly trained, paid, & unmotivated - they just make a cursory pass or an imperceptible touch... nothing that would stop anyone who cared to do anything.

If you are serious about security install the damn walkthrough detectors at the door, otherwise don't annoy 15,000 people when you know that your $5.75 an hour employee has about as much chance of stopping a terrorist as I do of marrying Jessica Alba.

It's just a random thing we do. It has nothing to do with yesterdays plant explosion.

Man that sucks, do you guys think it is due to that explosion in Texas city or something else? They say the explosion wasn't terrorist related? What gives?

Everybody try to read what DCballer wrote. It is something the NBA does at random games. They give warning so fans can get there early.

They are confiscating bottled water and forcing you to pay for the $4.00 soda.

Does this help security in some way? To do random day screenings but then warn everyone when it's going to be?

Least they won't have to be worried about snipers, we shot 5-21 from long distance last game.
