Well, turns out I'm getting to come back to Texas this summer after all with a Houston internship. However, as it turns out, I'm only going to be in Houston about 2 weeks or so per month, on average. The rest of the time, I'll either be able to work on my stories from home (Beaumont) or traveling around the state doing work from the road. Before I found that out, I was planning on just subleting a place in Houston for the summer. But now, it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to spend money on a place for a month when I'm only going to be there a couple of weeks in that month. Has anyone traveled on business before or for any other reason and stayed in some of the longer term hotels around Houston? Any tips on something with relatively cheap weekly specials (under $250 a week) that isn't too bad? Inner loop is ideal, but I'll have a car so I can essentially commute from anywhere. Anyone with suggestions? Thanks in advance.
YOU'LL be in your jammies watching the Astros, Cat will be interviewing Lance Berkman in the locker room. But it's ok. I'll come to your slumber party.
