Seriously. The guy's vet, started for Adelman in SAC when Vlade retired. Yeah, he's old but he's still really good.
The amount of defensive suckage resulting from playing a Miller + Scola + Martin combo violates the laws of the universe and threaten to destroy us all.
we've won 6 of 7 and someone is still complaining..... he's just better with the second group, I did like how Adelman had PPatt come in with Miller like he did with Hill coming in with Miller when Chuckwagon started
No way you start Miller in a line up featuring Scola and Martin. Who is going to box out and rebound? Who is going to defend the paint once Martin's man gets by him? Who is going to help Scola on the weak side when his man beats him into the paint? I don't like making replies personal, but this is one of those threads that have sheer stupidity written all over it.
You haven't seen nothin yet. Add Brooks to that lineup( he will start eventually) and thats ultimate suckage at defense
brad miller is excellent for the rockets on offense. but this team isn't lacking offense. we've got plenty of it... we desperately need a center who can guard the rim and brad miller is the furthest thing from that. brad miller's defense is poor around the basket because he is not athletic enough at this age to play above the rim.
The second unit needs Miller's high post presence much more than the starting lineup does, particularly since Brooks is still working himself back into game shape. Another thing is that Patterson and Hill lack the experience to come off the bench together. Scola/Hill backed up by Patterson/Miller gives the team a good mix of veteran and youth.
Because with Brooks in the second unit, the bench players need somebody to run point. (Crickets chirping...) Not funny because it's true.
What's with this misconception that Brooks cannot run point? He's gotten a lot better at it. Initially, he couldn't last year, but now he can but everyone seems to ignore it. It's like Dwight's lack of a post game. People just refuse to change their views
I have been really worrying about this as well. I see no solution though. Aldeman loves Brooks too much to keep him on the bench.
Have you noticed in these last two games how he just stands at the top of the key bouncing the ball for 20 seconds? Or when he tries to dribble past the whole team? He kills our rhythm, tempo and flow of the game. AB helps us with his shooting and speed, he is awesome at exploiting teams with those traits. But playmaking and setting up/controlling the offence is not his game at all. Thats Lowry's game, thus he should always start. AB is an undersized SG like Ellis and Terry. Only reason he plays point is because his height is too short for the 2.
