Hey, Everyone! I am excited because, about three days ago, I order tickets to January 2's Rockets @ Celtics game. Unfortunately the Banknorth Garden does NOT adequately interspurse handicapped-accessible seating in the arena, so I've gone to about 4 Battier games and am always told (once I mention the need for an accessible seat) that there are only two sections available. The Garden is less than what, 10 years old? This ridiculous answer ticks me off... I opted to buy more expensive seats, so instead of a $65+/each ticket, I paid a crazy $111.50 (the Garden supposedly starts with $10 seats - not for me, apparently! ) each and received my two tickets today. They tell me that I will be 16 rows up, behind the Rockets bench! Hopefully they will be GREAT - and much-improved - seats! Battier and Rockets, here I come! BattiersBaby.
cool that sucks that you were forced into paying more for the tickets...still cheaper than the cost of the lakers ticket i bought for last weeks opener.

Cool! That is one game I would really like to see. Can't drive to Boston though! LOL I will be at the Pacers game (10 rows back) and I am going to get tickets to Memphis game on Dec 28th. I wanted to go to the Detroit game but I don't have anyone to go with. Anyone live near Detroit and want to go to a game on Dec 23rd?

Stinks about the fleetcenter handicapped seating. Beware the obnoxious Boston fans, you can expect endless blathering from them when they see your visitors jersey. Evan
that should be an exciting matchup. yao v. perkins kg v. hayes/scola tmac v. pierce (and they will guard each other bc battier has to guard ray) battier v. ray rafer v. rondo (rondo has completely outplayed rafer so far => rafer has gone down a notch )

Hope you have a good time. I'm surprised that the new Garden doesn't have more accessible seating since it was built well after the ADA was in effect. Just be glad you're not seeing the game at the old Boston Garden. I lived in Boston for awhile and remember going to the Garden and it was kinda rundown and probably very tough for the disabled.
I am surprised as well, for the same reason. I don't really understand how the new "Garden" can supposedly meet standards on the issue... very minimal meeting of the code, I s'pose. I will have a great time... looking forward to the game, big time! BattiersBaby.
