http://www.boston.com/sports/basket.../17/questioning_adds_to_garnetts_pain/?page=2 KG might be a bit of a douche, but he's also a warrior. Gotta appreciate what he brings to the game. FORMERCELTICEXECUTIVEMOREYGETHERDONE!!!!!!!
He picks on smaller players. He punches teammates in the face. He's not just a bit of a douche. He's the king douche of all the douchebags. I want to see him get laid out on the floor before he retires.
What's the difference between a Xbox Live Call of Duty player and KG? Nothing they both talk ***** but backdown when somebody challenges them
no there's several differences. Kg went through puberty, doesn't live in his parents house, and he doesn't have acne.
"His pregame ritual is so frenetic players steer clear of his locker. When Garnett comes out of the game for the first time, they wait to give him a cup of water because his hands are still shaking. When he’s on the bench, it is not uncommon for him to grab the grease board and diagram instructions with his finger during a timeout. Garnett’s intensity fuels his game, but occasionally burns his teammates in the process. “He can’t stand the nonsense in that locker room,’’ said Cassell. “He’s irritated by guys who act like clowns. Every game is a big game to KG. He can’t understand why his teammates don’t feel the same way.’’ I don't know how people don't love that. I will take KG in the foxhole every single day, that guy will die for his teammates. What a great, great player he is. And guess what, Daryl Morey is his number 1 fan...
That's the kind of intensity that fans of the team love, but it's grating to everyone else. Tim Tebow at Florida was the same way. He received major backlash from everyone that wasn't a Florida fan because of his intensity. But like you, I'll take the guy who is supposedly a "douche" because he is so intense and focused that it sometimes boils over. I admire that attitude a lot more than the players who joke around on the bench and go into cruise control mode during games. The league would be more fun to watch if more players had the competitive drive Garnett does.
Pssst, that's not why Tebow grated on people, and it's not why he received major backlash. I know you're a Florida fan, and that's fine, but crying "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful" doesn't make you beautiful.
Tebow is 1 million times more likable than Garnett as a person. Most competitors respect Tebow, and heck most SEC fans respect him. Garnett, on the other hand, gets little respect from his peers, as is evident by Q's comments today.
