Hopefully, Mr. Mobley has seen what Barry Larkin has done in (reportedly) rejecting the offer for more money in going to New York.

BTW, am I the only one that gets the irony:

    1) The Rockets draft Mobley #41 after the entire world passes on him and he's "50/50" on dumping the Rockets just when it looks like they'll be a decent team
    2) The Rockets pass up on Rashard Lewis and there have been rumours that he won't play for Houston because the Rockets passed on him

Just curious how others felt about all this...

One problem with your thinking is that Larkin would have gotten no more money than he is getting now by accepting the trade to NY. He is a free agent at the end of the season and can go to whomever he wants for whatever money he can get. The more money arguement does not apply here.

    1. If Cat wants more money then that is his choice.
    2. Lewis wants to come home but cannot until he is a free agent.

The one problem with that is that there aren't any rumors that I know of of Lewis not wanting to play here because of that. In fact, he's okay with the draft scenario, and would love to play here. It's just he is a restricted FA, and can't get out of Seattle for what the Rockets have to offer without a lot of effort and luck by Lewis and the Rockets. But that's not to say it can't happen. There is reason to hope, but anyway I know that's off the topic...

I was (mistakenly) thinking that he was in a situation where his deal was going to be up with the Reds and that if he went to NY that he was going on the condition that he re-signed with NY.

    Thanks for the correction.
