David Carr is everything we could have dreamed of and much much more...........

by all accounts he has really taken quickly to Chris Palmer's complex offensive scheme, and according to the chronicle even checked off a play and called the correct play at the line of schrimage the first time Capers tried to throw him a new defensive look............

    SMART QB

also by all accounts he has a rifle for an arm and can put the ball into places that other QB's are just not capable of throwing it......
this reminds me of QBs like Favre and Elway...........

    ATHLETIC QB

we are all very aware of the maturity issue that has killed such great talent in the past like Akili Smith, Ryan Leaf and others........ David Carr seems to have it all together and says all the right things that a Franchise QB should say..........

    MATURE QB

and my favorite part of all !!!!!!!!!!!
he is a fighter........ now I don't want my QB to be stupid and get hurt in a fight but David Carr really set the tone for this team on Friday when he came to the aid of his Center when he was in a fight with a Cowboy D-Lineman.............. he showed everyone that he cares about this team and that he is not to be pushed around, also it made the team want to protect David, Wells even said he was gonna clothesline him and carry him to the sidelines the next time he tried to get into a fight on the field..........
I want my QB fighting for my team and I want my team to fight for and protect my QB........

    QB with GUTS

so far I could not be happier with my QB !!!!!!!!!

    way to go TEXANS

This statement is brought to you by a delusional Cowboys fan still latching on to the glory days in the Jimmy Johnson era. You may now return to your regularly scheduled programming.

    Good Day.

I admit I am a Cowboy fan, but the Texan's are my 2nd favorite team. However, they are so close that I may change my mind this season. (I sound like a bandwagon fan don't I :p.) I want both teams to do well, although I don't have high hopes. (especially for the Cowboy Offense. It scares me.) I didn't think much about Carr, but I went to the scrimmage Friday and he did look pretty good.

BTW, don't hate on me because I like the Cowboys more. I've already been punished by watcing their Offense.
    :p

So, you make the case against the 'Boys offense based on a scrimage? Not even a couple of pre-season games but ONE scrimage? Leave out last year's offense results becuz we've got a fresh start w/ Coslet this year, but you can't even wait to abandon ship before the pre-season is even over? You say you are a "true" Cowboys fan? Hmmmm.....DON'T abandon ship just let my man, not just yet!;)

Sorry. I should have mentioned I was joking. I actually do have high hopes for the team, especially its Defense. I believe the offense will struggle, but I think Quincy will eventually get in a groove. Actually Quincy seemed a little better than last year at the scrimmage during 7on7, but seemed a little like last year during 11on11. But I think he will be better and we may possibly make the playoffs if he can be at least average. Maybe even less than average if our D is REALLY good. I also meant I would "abandon ship" at the end of the year if the Cowboys did not improve, and the Texans surprised. Not very likely. To be honest, I'm not a huge football fan, let alone a "True" Cowboy fan. But I do like them. I was also trying to be unbias to the Texan fans and not say we would whoop them come September. But now its too late. :p

    jk Texan fans.

Sorry I get REAL seasick. I went on a boat once and never wanted to get on another again. I HATE the Sea! Maybe if you could make it a nice smooth ride, instead of a bumby one. And we could be on a cruise ship with the Dallas cheerleaders and free food and...

Oh you were useing an expression. :)

DV, please dont be bitter just because The cowboys are going to make the Texans their ladies in the first regular season game. On another note, I never could understand how someone could have a 2nd favorite team.... Is it the one you fall back on when your team has a bad game? doesn't make sense to me.

LOL, but EVERYONE should be for Lance Armstrong.

Aside from him, well rooting for the Cowboys and Yankees both is not a sign of diehard character--the only excuse for rooting for either is to be from there, but obviously can't happen here. Might as well root for Pepsi Twist and the Backstreet Boys.

I have 2 favorites because of the two conferances. Kind of like baseball where they don't play eachother much (except this year), I chose both Texas teams. I've always like the Cowboys, but I also have always gone for the Houston teams. When they play each other, I go for Dallas, but if the play other teams, I go for both. Actually this is my first time rooting for 2 teams so I don't know if it will work out. Probably not.

*Edit* Now that I think about it, the 2 may play a lot because of the Texas rivalry. Darn this is hard.
