can someone please explain to me what purpose this guy serves??? because he seem's to bring nothing to the table. we need to trade him right now!!! for some reason, other teams love this guy. the spurs commentators were raving about him a few days ago. i couldn't believe what i was hearing. i say trade him before he's exposed for the poor player he is...
not sure what his purpose is this year...can't hit anything. and he committed his stupidest decision as a rocket in this game. with 3 seconds on the shot clock, he decides to dribble and fake, not getting a shot, you'd think a point guard would be a smarter than that.
..then Mooch just missed 2 fts, and carried the ball... ...I am not ready to write him off yet, but Rudy T needs to have a long sit down with him, and tell him to be smarter on the court. His decision making is his biggest problem at the moment.
It's so sad that a 28? year old player has to have a chat with the coach, to know how to play smart. I really don't know if Moochie would be in the NBA, if he weren't with the Rockets.
I wouldn't mind just flat out cutting him. If he landed on another team, that would be great, since he would just immediately poison them.
He's a complete joke this year and just cost us a game. Two missed free throws, big TO with under a minute to go, and horrible defense on Dooling.
Okay that's a little harsh don't you think... Just play tito instead that's alll... anything has got to be better than mooch right now... I have never seen him play worst... He has no concept of passing and he plays stupid in clutch situations... he did make a big 3 but he definitely lost the game for us...
Yep, Steve stands in the corner while mooch turns the game over. good job rudy. you can only blame mooch so much for sucking, but someone is giving the guy crucial minutes.
Rudy is r****ded. He always brings in Mooch at the end of the game to run the offense. What is the point of giving it to a scrub, and having your superstar stand in the corner?
Bottom Line: we should have never re-signed Norris in the first place. He is one of the most overpaid guards (especially for a backup) that I can think of.
TIM, WHERE ARE YOU TIM??? Please,if nothing else, inform the team that Rocket fans want Moochie GONE from the roster AT ANY COST!!! Please understand FROM A MARKETING PERSPECTIVE he no longer has any value. Whatever fascination we had with him is buried under our complete and utter disdain for his continual failures as an NBA player for the Rockets. The fact that today's mistakes came at crunch time and cost the team a win shouldn't mask the fact that he has been making mistakes all season long only to be bailed out by his teammates. Today there was just not enough time left to overcome his mental shortcomings. Please let us know Tim that you understand our postion and WILL pass it on to Rocket brass so that they know they don't have to keep him because they think he is still this huge fan favorite because he stopped being that a long, long time ago! If we promise to start filling up Compaq Center, will you guys agree to release Mooch if there is nobody willing to take him? Just get rid of him any way possible. PLEASE!!!!!
Really hard to argue with that, don't you guys think? As much as I despise Moochie he shouldn't have been in there in the first place. Someone drew that play up... I suppose.
I don't know about this year, but last year he hit a few clutch 3's to win games. He'll find his way, it's not like this guy isn't committed to the team. He lost a lot of weight during the offseason, though it may have hurt his game instead of helping it. Anyways, some of you guys are pretty harsh, Mooch did a nice job as a starting PG last year. He averaged 4.9 assists and 1.9 TO in 27.4 mpg. Ooops, while looking up these stats, I just noticed we had lost to the Clips today. What happened? Looks like Mooch only needed to hit one FT to kee the game tied, that's not clutch. Yao's goaltending, did it matter? I mean was the ball going in anyway? Also, why didn't Francis touch the ball during the last minute of the game and how close was his fadeaway buzzer shot?
