    i would take ewing.

    His offensive game was much more polished and his mid range was deadly. His defence was incredible as well. I think people underestimate him because he was playing against some of the best big men of all time.

    I guess a lot of younger fans forget how good of a defensive player he was. Just because our very own Hakeem owned him too much, does not mean he is not a great player. definitely a top 10 center and arguable a top 5.

    This just tells you how Hakeem would destroy every one of these centers in the current NBA.

    I've never watched the center era of NBA because of my age, but I have to go with Howard

    There's no way in hell D12 puts up 28.6 a game in that Era, absolutely no way

    Juwan is OK, but I'd take Patrick.

    Ewing! He played in the best era of the NBA (80's - mid 90's). NBA today has been pussyfied. Breathing on someone is a foul. What a fricking joke!

    patrick ewing was a legit franchise player. and he had nowhere the offensive talent howard is having right now on his team.

    hakeem, patrick, and david robinson would absolutely dominate the league today offensively.

    Ewing.

    We have some good centers in the NBA now, not many great ones like we did back in the day.

    Ewing;

    Howard's game is not developed enough or even dominant enough against weaker competition to really trounce a player, like Ewing.

    Like, I've said before if Howard has struggled against the modern day Celtics; Rasheed Wallace; the Lakers bigs; and Yao Ming. You cannot seriously think he do that much better against higher caliber center, like a Ewing or David Robinson.

    I'd definitely take Ewing. The defense is probably about even. Howard is a better rebounder. But Ewing is much better on offense, that's not even close.
