It would be nice for that to exist, but someone will make a joke, someone will defend that joke, someone will be offended by the joke, and then chaos will ensue. Of course I voted for evolution.
Where's the "Both" category? Quite a few people feel that way, you know... And by "Creationism", do you mean Biblical creationism? I can't vote until that's cleared up.
Well, it wouldn't really be "Other" - it would be either "Both", or it would be "Evolution and Creationism", or something along those lines. Other makes me think of all kinds of wierd sci-fi explanations... Does "Other" include the "Both" idea, ZRB?
I voted "OTHER" but you know someone is gonna want to vote "NEITHER"...or is that OTHER too cuz it ain't BOTH?!
The problem I have with the idea of a godless evolution is how it contrasts with the idea that all men are created equal. Can anyone explain to me how these two concepts can coexist?
I'll go with both because I certainly believe in Creation but there's not doubt that the strongest survive and therefore species will evolve.
Jefferson (at least I think that's who wrote that) didn't mean that all men are literally created equal. Whether you believe in creation or godless evolution it is obvious that some people are faster, some people are smarter, some people are taller, etc. Jefferson just meant that all men are equal before the law and should have equal opportunites (this is, as long as you were a white male property owner). What would a political statement like that have anything to do with evolution anyway? And as a creationist, do you actually believe that all men are created equal, which would in my mind imply that all men have exactly the same capabilities?
All men arent created equal. Thats a simple answer for you. You realy believe that all men are created equal? Have you heard of genes?!? Some people are better than other people. Simple as that.
Damn that article was long! It was explosive, however. Keyes does make sense, at least this article does. Perhaps it's simply the conservative in me.
