They sent me a 7 day trial for the PS2 version and got me addicted. I haven't had time to play in a few days though.
I used to play it for about an 8 month span. Had a 32 lvl ranger and a 28 warrior. However, I just couldn't spend the time trying to gather a party, find a good spot, and squat on the good spawns. I only had like 3 hours a night and I could barely do anything before it was time to head off. Plus, the game was too group oriented. Yes I know it was designed for that, but there were times I wanted to just go off by myself and whack things and still advance rather than grouping with some people and getting killed waiting for a dumb*** cleric to heal me. Now, I just play RPG's on my PS2. Currently whooping Dark Cloud 2, then I have to finally get cracking on Xenosaga.
I play. I don't have time to play all that frequently, but I do love it. I've had a 30th Paladin, but I switched to the Roleplaying server, and now I have 13th Paladin.
Go to the Playstation site and register to be part of the "Playstation Underground". There is also a Gamer Advisory Panel on there but I think you have to be invited to it, you'll probably get an invitation a little while after joining. I'm not sure which group sent the demo to me but I've gotten a couple of demos from them. You can also sign up to be a beta tester from there, but you may or may not be selected.
