The same day Adam Everett finds out his new baby is a girl, he gets popped by a pitch and will in all likelyhood miss the remainder of the season.

    Tough break for Everett.

At least hell get to spend time at home with his new baby.

actually, he'll just get to spend time with his pregnant wife - she's not due for a while.

Still, Adam had a good season for us at short - this is a tough break.

oh man, a double whammy. sucks for adam to be hitting so well then go down. but it pretty much fits in with this whole season for the astros.

Didn't Lugo get hit by a pitch that broke his hand around the same time a couple of years ago?

    This sucks.

Edit - Just heard on the 10th inning show (740 ktrh am) Lugo was hit by a pitch Aug. 12

man, i hope either pettitte or clemens makes it uncomfortable for that expos line-up.. either in this series or next week in montreal. we HAVE to get them back.

this sucks for the astros and everett, but did anyone think maybe this might be the light under the fire that this team needed? everyone gets pissed and out comes the passion (revenge). astros go on a huge tear.

carlos hernandez gets called up and bagwell starts making us believe again. =)

I love the Astros, but that was the straw that broke the camel's back. Stick a fork in 'em.

i think everyone mlb player should wear that piece of foam on their batter's glove when in the batters box (like bagwell) to prevent wrist injuries. if everett had the protection on his wrist then he would be out their tonight instead of having to wear a case for 6-8 weeks
