Could CT Fletcher (the guy who's doing all the talking) be a Harden or Baron Davis look alike....... but obviously much, much bigger?!

I love it when bodybuilders think they are moving heavy weights. If you want to see what real weight lifters look like here is some heavy ass weights.

Never was a fan of the power lifting form.

A lot people at my gym lift like that but I've always benched with my ass on the bench, slightly arched back, shoulder/upper back on the bench.

Dude's not even GREEN, or has an S in the curl of his hair on the forehead... so... yeah, NOT Hulk or Superman. FAIL. :p

    Seriously speaking, though:
Don't know why people like to brag about how much they can lift or how bulged up or "stronger" they are than other people. I'm not sure what that falls under, but it's a pretty bad trait to have as a person. Be healthy, get strong, do whatever makes you happy... help others who are struggling... just don't brag about it... like there's some prize out there if you don't show off.

The rules are the rules and everyone lifts under the same set. Bodybuilders are usually second rate athletes or abandoned their purely athletic endeavours for a purely esthetic motivation, which is why they are impressive to see. Harden is more of an athlete than CT Fletcher ever was.

Showing it off is what bodybuilding is all about. This hulk guy isn't even an elite bodybuilder.

Well personally I think it's more impressive doing a weight using the traditional bench method. More range of motion, and less drive pushing with your legs.

I guess you can call my style of weightlifting "body building" but I like to iso and target intended muscles. Crap form leads to injuries, whether it's over exerting deadlifts, squats, or bench.

You may say lifting for aesthetic reasons is egotistical and narcissist about their "looks", but I would argue the power lifters you're referring to are just as egotistical and narcissist and get their sense of pride from "how much they can push". It's not that different actually.

Those guys are beasts hands down.

    Olympic lifters > bodybuilders/powerlifters

Body building and power lifting to me is just a matter of preference, one is not better than the other.

btw, this Hulk guy is a powerlifter anyway, not a bodybuilder. He's just not as fat as most powerlifters.

You can call yourself whatever you like but the drive to attain the goal of lifting more than your opponent is much different than the drive of modeling a banana hammock better than some other oiled up douche bag. It's aesthetics vs numbers.

Right, but who's to say otherwise to a lifter who aims for a well-proportioned body and overall fitness? There's a lot more to athleticism than just power. Agility, speed, coordination, etc.

Some people just want to be "fit", with good relative strength for their size and look good in their clothes. Girls tend to like that anyways. Who are you trying to impress with your "numbers"? The sweaty power lifter next to you?

You should have realized I know what makes an athlete when I laughed at the Harden comparison. You also need to define a well proportioned body because "well" in that context is extremely variant depending on the desired result. Aesthetics? Boxing? Sprinting? Long distance running? Rock climbing?

If aesthetics, that changes with the fashion of the day along with "girls" preferences.

It seems you think I'm attacking you or people who use bodybuilder style training. I'm just laughing at a video everyone finds impressive because of a loud mouthed hype man.
