How about not throwing back a HR ball hit by the opposite team?

Well, if that pisses you off to the point of violence, then JBIIRockets is the man you want to see. He caught a HR ball tonight, but refused to throw it back.

FIGHT THE STOLEN "TRADITION" MY MAN!!!!

Man, I wish that stupid "tradition" hadn't made it's way around the league.

It is a ball, he caught it, no tradition....it is his choice.

Good for him.......to not cave in to peer pressure, that is for the weak.

I don't mind it so much when they don't throw it back.

I mind it very much when you see some jackass in an Astros hat get all excited and celebrating after catching a homer by the other team. Shouldn't be more excited about getting a freakin' baseball than glum about the team losing a run.

I wouldn't throw it back. How many chances does a person get to catch a homerun ball, by any team? Besides, that's a Chicago tradition, and look where it's got them.

agreed. plus, the bleacher bums in Chicago have been known to bring their own balls to the game to throw on to the field, so that they don't have to throw the real one back.

if an astro catches a ball...absolutely...keep it. that's your team.

if freaking barry bonds knocks #74 this year...and you catch it...by all means...keep it.

but when the montreal expos come to town...and their backup catcher knocks one into the crawford boxes...by all means...throw that bad boy back!!!

Anyone see when that guy at Wrigley was walking down the street, picked up the ball, and threw it all the way back into the stadium. That is the funniest thing I ever saw. He had a good arm too.

By the way, Anyone see what the Detroit catcher did a few nightss back on the pop up. I missed it, but John Kruk and Harold Reynold were laughing so hard they couldn't control themselves. What did he do?

You catch it on the fly, JB, or just pick it up after someone else dropped it? ;)

Personally I would've thrown it back. I think I can get 2B on the fly. A buddy of mine says he could hit the mound. Someday I hope to find out.

I believe it landed behind him and picked it up if I'm thinking the right ball.

Somebody post the video or a pic from their video tape. We need to see this for entertainment value.
