Has anyone ever had a moisture issue and mold in your house? What was the scenario and what was the resolution?

Yep, we cleaned it off a wall that had it under some wall paper, ripped up all the wallpaper and then cleaned it and painted the wall.

What was the source of the moisture? Something behind the wall?

It had come through a window. It was on the inside of the wallpaper only.

If you have moisture in the wall, the drywall probably needs to come off and the studs treated with a bleach-water solution.

After Ike (which took almost all my shingles off) Black mold started in the rooms that were wet.

I already new the solution (TILEX Mold & mildew remover)

    Spray all mold completely.

Then just leave alone and next day it will be gone if not spray again for real bad areas.

Really this Tilex is great. (Walmart)

So it's mainly about finding the mold in the first place, eh? After that, unless it's heavy, then it sounds pretty easy to remediate - bleach.
