Movie was pretty funny. I think it would be good to see with the kids or your wife/GF/BF etc. I keep forgetting how awesome of an actor Morgan Freeman is. Michael from The Office was funny as well.
critics say it sucked but all they give good reviews to are garbage dramas like The Notebook. Im gonna watch it for sure
it's an OK movie. If you see it make sure it's during a double feature. As long as you see it for free...
it's ok. i laughed a couple times but this one is pretty much a family movie, which is fine if that's what you expect going in.
They spent around $235 million (including advertising), guy. http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2761&Itemid=99
I finally saw the 40 year old virgin for the first time straight through yesterday. It was pretty funny. I know....I'm a little behind the times! The movie that's out now that I want to see is La Vie En Rose.
I'll wait for it on Blockbuster. BTW it looks like the Evan will take in 33mil this weekend. Sadly, it's already a flop.
Shrek was more entertaining. I suspect this guy just won't have much staying power, although I would never underestimate the power of the 'geek' community.
ditto also plus didn't anybody feel that the trailer was already the whole movie? There was nothing else to look forward too other than if they survive or not.
Exactly. Plus, i dislike carell, and despite my great love for lauren graham, i aint paying to see this movie.
The live action family comedy is dying a slow, painful death. Unless it has a Happy Meal toy to go with it, kids aren't interested in watching a movie. Adult couple sure as hell aren't going to go to a PG rated comedy and get the back of their seats kicked for two hours. This movie was doomed from the start. $175 million? Are you kidding me? Plus, there was no real "hook" to get kids interested. Kids can't related to Noah's Ark. Now, if they would have made the animals talk and told the story from their point of view, that would have been a gold mine. Let's face it, if you're going to spend $175 million, at least put all that money into something that kids can enjoy. Plus, they could have gotten somebody cheaper than Steve Carrell to play Noah, err, Evan
just watched it. Universal Studios tried to do the Buena Vista (Disney) crap and spend elaborate money for an over the top family film. Kinda like Pirates of the Caribbean. Except worse actors and bad cgi
I saw it friday and thought it was pretty bad. Good thing Lauren Graham was in there or it would have been totally unwatchable.
