Why are we not looking at more players to pair with Yao & Tmac for next year? Wesley, Howard , & Mutombo all need to sit the last remaining games out. We need to bring in some new talent e.g. - K. Rush , Shawn Kemp, any SG over 6'4. From the display that the rockets showed against the Wolfs, winning is not that great of a priority. I can not believe that the Majic Lamp could not even get some minute last night.

i agree i dont understand why Lampe couldnt get at least 10-15 minutes last night. he is young and was suppost to be a 1st round pick if it wasnt for contract problems with his original team.

    New talent... Shawn Kemp... HAHAHA

I agree with you though. I'd actually tune in for the rest of the games if I get to see Majec, Brunson, Frahm, etc. See what kind of 12th men we have. Brunson I really like. It's too bad he's going to coach. I think he's exactly the kind of backup 1 for this team. He did great when I saw him play.

Don't even get me started on this. If the Rockets don't seriously upgrade their talent this offseason or at least move heaven and earth to do so, they will be sending a clear message to their fans that as long as the bottomline is adequate, winning is optional. And then they will start to lose some long time fans, like me. The last ten years have been very frustrating, and this year the worst. Enough is enough. Injuries are only part of the problem; the personnel decisions of the last ten years are also the problem. It is time to fix them.

We have the Warriors and the 6th most lottery balls in our sights. We can get either Brandon Roy or Rudy Gay at 6. That's a significant talent upgrade right there.

Yeah the thing that frustrates and confuses me is why Lampe is not getting at least 10+ minutes of playtime per game. Yao is out and Mutombo has nothing to prove.
Just wasting a roster spot right there.

dude, Lampe SUX so bad.. he cant even catch a ball .. I mean, Hornets didn't play him more than 5 mins.. u wanna play him 10+....well it will be a good idea for tanking, but if we played him, it will look too obvious that we are tanking.. :D

Isn't this what we thought we had done this past off-season? Our primary goal was to add as much youth and athleticism as possible. We needed a PF so we targeted and signed one of the most athletic players in the league in Swift. We needed a consistent 3rd option on offense so we targeted and signed a proven veteran scorer in DA. We were desperate for youth in the backcourt with the likes of Sura, Barry and Wesley getting minutes so we drafted a young, promising player in Head.

Obviously the first two moves we made have all but backfired, but the moves we made were theoretically a step the right direction. We set out to get younger, more athletic and aimed to sign a 3rd gun and we thought we had done that with players that fit that description.

It seems the logic in place was correct we just chose the wrong players, with the exception of Head. Does that suck? Of course it does. Can I really fault CD, JVG and the guys making the calls? Not so much since at the time I thought the Swift and DA signings were magnificent as well.

So here we are again. In need of yet another role player overhaul. Rockets' brass have demonstrated the ability to target and acquire the kind of players they set their sights on, which is always a good thing. I am confident, giving our glaring holes and weaknesses, that another overhaul will take place and hopefully this time we will be pleased with the results and that everybody can stay healthy.

Yao was pretty bad in his first few games as a Rocket. My point is that a player does not develop unless he plays.

This should take about five seconds: none

Head is worth keeping around probably.

All the people whining about Lampe - he's played on 3 teams in 3 years and been cemented to the bench on each one (including the Hornets last year - I mean, NACHBAR got PT for the them last year, and he's terrible).

You'd have to think that that tells you a lot more about wheteher or not he can play than the NBAdraft.net preview from a few years ago. Just cause he hasn't shown you yet - well he's shown his other coaches what he can do in practice - and they've made the same decision.

That said he'd help greatly in the lotto race

I have no special liking for that guy, especially after he showed his disrespect to the former Rockets during that ceremony. But please admit that you are exaggerating here.

Baller is spot on. Everyone is getting so pissed and frustrated at the organization. That is fine because fans are all about results, but to think that this organization is not interested in winning after the horendous season we have experienced is ignorant. At the start of this season I am sure the majority of you were singing CD's praises and speaking boldly about how we were going to contend this year. What makes you think that this organization thought otherwise?

FYI, Brunson is not going to coach, Temple selected Fran Dunphy as their new coach. Lampe does s**k but if you want to ensure losing the remainder of our three games you need to bench Chuck Hayes and replace him with Lampe, at least let the guy show Rox fans why he has got zero playing time his entire NBA career.
