Juan Carlos Navarro is another player of talented Spanish team that won the Junior Worldschampionship played in Lisboa, (teammate of Gasol,Raul Lopez,Felipe Reyes...)

This player plays in FC Barcelona, like Gasol before, and is the best friend of Memphis player.

"la bomba" was born in 1980 in Sant Feliu, a small Barcelona´s town, their actual height is 6´4 Ft an weights 193 .

Their usual position in Barcelona is SG, but he can play like PG greatly.

    CHARACTERISTICS:

TALENT TO THE MAXIMUM QUICKNESS!!, leadership, a lethal long-range shot, and an amazing inside-outside game.

Juan Carlos defense is very good too, (he is considered the 2nd best defender in Bracelona, the 1rst is Nacho Rodriguez, a specialist)
When Gasol played in Spain, Navarro had more fans than him, he is the favourite for the fans, a player with GREAT courage, and cold blood in the final minutes, (like Gasol).
Completely unstopable when he makes layups, a shot that he realizes with a completely personal style, nobody can believe, how the hell he can hit this strange shot, throwing the ball, without effect, like leaving a high death ball , even since 8-9 Fts, really a spectacular action, and infallible in a 90% he realizes that.

He is a new Vinnie "microwave" Johnson, with better long shot ,leadership and personality.

Maybe has been the cornerstone of their team , even over Gasol, for team´s playing style.

He has the same problem Gasol Had, their coach, nobody plays many minutes in this team, Aito Garcia Reneses, (the coach) ALWAYS want to be the only star.

    WEAKNESSES:

im not kidding, IS HARD to say a weakness of this boy, damn he is so smart!!!

    good points at this site.

He is a great making assists, you must remember that a assist in Europe is a pass to the post for a dunk or layup, no the same than USA.

Like 2nd rounder he would be THE STEAL, he is pretty ready for play in NBA. he is competitive until the death. when he is on the court ,is the team´s reference.the leader, and the favourite for the masses. (no, he isn´t anothe j-will, he is spectacular, but the first for him is WIN no matter how many can cost)

Another good point: Gasol is not completely comfortable in Memphis... and the team that will pick "la Bomba", will have manyyyyy chances for sign Pau in 3 years.... I bet for it.

I hope this report can help us, and please, post any doubt or question, I´ll be gland to answer to all.

    GO ROCKETS!!!!!!

One other thing, Gasol said in a recent radio interview that he was EASILY the best player he has ever played with and this is halfway through the NBA season. I know Memphis does not have much all world talent but if he is better than every player on the Grizzles he is going to be a pretty good player in the NBA.

    Question, boville.

You say that he is good at assisting his teammates. And you also said he was a smart player. So for a PG, does he have a decent assist to turnover ratio? Does he turn the ball over much?

    ORIGINALLY POSTED FOR RUNNINRAVEN:

well RR, he plays 22,6 minutes per game ( the 3th with more minutes on court!!!) in spanish league, and he gives 2,4 assts per game (remember, assist in europe is a weirdword, that must be veryyy obvious, is a different concept,) and lose 1,4 balls per game, also he steal 1,2 balls per game.
