And things just keep getting... worse for... the... Ah f*** it. I can't even finish a Drexler joke. This is just sad.
And that makes 4 starters (1 a Pro-Bowler) out with season ending injuries. Just another typical Texans season. EDIT: Please for the love of GOD, don't replace him in the starting lineup with Jon Busing. That guy just sucks.
So who's gonna replace him?? Glover Quin?? As long as it's not Busing, or Barber, it can't be THAT bad, right? RIGHT???
Umm. My *ss they would. We needed every living, breathing body we could get in our backfield. Wilson ain't a world-beater... but he wasn't high on our list of problems. Now we're stuck with Busing... kinda makes you throw up a little on the inside.
Ok guys here is what needs to happen in the offseason whether you like it or not: Hire Bill Cower and let him choose his new offensive and defensive coordnators. Let Dunta and Kevin Walter walk to free up money to sign Casey Hampton and re-sign Owen Daniels and Benard Pollard. Switch to a 3-4 Defense under Cower(the guy knows what he's doing) Here is my draft: 1st round - Crezdon Butler - CB - Clemson - 6'0 185 2nd round - Chad Jones - FS - LSU - 6'3 230 3rd round - Mike Johnson - OG - Alabama - 6'6 305 4th round - Toby Gerhart - RB - Stanford - 6'1 235 5th round - Vincent Rey - ILB - Duke - 6'0 255 6th round (A) - Jacques McClendon - OG - Tennessee - 6'3 324 6th round (B) - Zoltan Mesko - P - Michigan - 6'5 236 7th round - Will Tukuafu - DE - Oregon - 6'4 272 Here is my new lineups for 2010: Offense: QB - Schaub/Orlowski RB - Slaton/Gerhart WR - Johnson/Jones WR - Davis/Anderson TE - Daniels/Casey FB - Leach/Casey LT - Brown/Butler LG - Studdard/McClendon C - Caldwell/Myers RG - Johnson/McClendon LT - Winston/Butler Defense: RE - Williams/Smith NT - Hampton/Okam LE - Okoye/Smith OLB - Cushing/Diles ILB - Ryans/Bentley ILB - Rey/Bentley OLB - Barwin/Diles SS - Pollard/Wilson FS - Jones/Wilson CB - Butler/McCain CB - Quin/Molden Nickel CB - Reeves I think with a new coach and a new attitude this team could flourish.
Why is there no Chester Pitts mention in your post? Are we getting rid of an O lineman that started every game for 7 years, and had been playing well prior to his injury?
I just see the possibility of the texans not bringing him back due to the injury. dont get me wrong i love the guy and want him back, but dont know if the texans would be willing to pay him after the injury.
I think the alabama combo of caldwell and johnson would do just fine in a cower running game, my only question would be if studdard could hold up.
So, is it your contention that every detail of that post of yours is the only perfect and accurate way, "whether we like it or not", or are you simply saying that Kubiak should go "whether we like it or not"? Just curious as to how much of your plan is non-negotiable.
ah. well, we shall see. If they are 7-9 or 8-8, then i would hazard a guess that an overwhelming majority of football fans in houston would agree with you. don't know about mcnair, though.
