This is the story of what happens if you want to know: Spoiler http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/strange/news-article.aspx?storyid=173188&catid=82 In a story that's making its way around the Internet, pranksters fooled ESPN reporter Elizabeth Moreau into believing that her hotel was on fire and that she needed to break the window using the room's toilet seat. TheSmokingGun.com reports that the prank was pulled early morning at a Hilton Garden Inn in Gainesville, Fla. The article cites a Gainesville police report saying that an unknown man called Moreau and advised "that the hotel was on fire." The man first directed Moreau, 27, to "lay towels down at the bottom of her front door to prevent smoke from entering her room." The caller then directed Moreau to use the toilet lid cover to break out the window. "She then went to the window and used it to break out the window. The window was broken and the toilet lid broke upon falling to the ground outside," police reported. It is unknown who was responsible for today's hoax, which cops have classified a "suspicious incident." Moreau, in Gainesville to cover a women's volleyball match between the University of Florida and the University of Tennessee, told cops that the caller then advised "that's what she gets for being a bad ex-wife...'" At this point, Moreau, pictured at right, realized she had been pranked. Online group Pranknet at work? The ruse is a classic tactic used by people linked to "online group of hooligans" who call themselves Pranknet, according to TheSmokingGun.com, which says it exposed the group last year. According to one of its August 2009 articles, Pranknet members masquerade "as hotel employees, emergency service workers, and representatives of fire alarm companies" to talk unknowing hotel guests to "destroy hotel rooms and lobbies, set off sprinkler systems, activate fire alarms..." Pranknet's founder, Tariq Malik, last year distributed to certain followers lists of locations and phone numbers of "hundreds of Hilton Garden Inns in the U.S.," the article says. Why would they allegedly target Hilton Worldwide's Hilton Garden Inns? ©2010 USA Today. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, rewritten, or redistributed.

That'd be totally awesome if someone was standing under the broken glass and got all cut up, bleeding to the hospital and barely survivin. Yeah, you people are scum to think it's pure genius. Someone could have been seriously injured. AMIRITE? AMIRITE?
I think the toilet back cover would have done more damage to this hypothetical person on the ground. I think this was the argument against Barkley when he tossed the guy out the window...people didn't support the guy who got tossed, but what if someone was standing outside the window and got hit. Anyhow, what the hell is AMIRITE? I mean, I know it sounds out "am I right", but that spelling is annoying.
I guess some high school or college kids may find this humorous, but most adults can see that someone could be seriously injured by this stupid prank. It seems like these idiots could be charged with something.
I don't see how there's anything wrong with this prank. Live a little. Sure, someone could've gotten hurt in the middle of the night, but the fact is that they didn't... so that's all that matters. Doesn't make me a child for finding this prank funny.
Who cares about the ****ing property damage? I don't. I'm more interested in how she reacted and how gullible she was, that's the funny part to me. Like I said, maybe if someone actually got hurt, it wouldn't be funny... but it was a successful prank and in the end she was mad. Ever been hazed?
