On the ESPNews scroller it says that David Aldridge reports that Warriors agree to a 5yr deal with Adonal Foyle. So scratch him off the FA list for other teams. Not like we didnt already know, but Dampier is as good as gone from there now.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking too.

I wonder what the market was for him, seeing as how he is coming off an injury filled/poor season.

Dampier is the better player, by far. Whoever gets him will improve greatly.

I think the market was high for him. Talk was that Orlando was going to offer their FULL MLE for Foyle. I assume Foyle got that and then some from the Warriors. They knew they needed to keep him since they were going to lose Dampier.

    agreed.

Dampier is just a better, shorter Cato. Marginal starter, excellent backup.

Foyle is just horribly overrated. Decent big body backup.

There goes my belief that Foyle would be SnT for Payton.

A marginal starter? 12ppg & 12rpg for Dampier. Seems like a top 5 center to me.

He is not top 5. Maybe he cracks the top 10, but that doesn't say much about the competition.

And keep in mind that was a contract year for him, and horrible GS teams make guys like Fortson look like studs, number-wise anyway.

I think Dampier has skills, is worthy of a good contract (Mavs?Lakers?Grizz?), but the contract year, as stated, has inflated ED.

Chad Ford on Mike & Mike in the Morning Radio show said that Foyle's contract was 5yrs 41M with an option for a 6th year for 10M.
