[ESPN] Wade hurt, Riley accuses Hinrich of playing dirty

Wow, let me shed a tear for Phil Jackson and poor Dwayne Wade, who I guess never seems to have the calls go his way. Here we are, Rockets fans, witnessing on a daily basis the kind of abuse Yao has to endure from our opponents frantically doing anything they can to try to slow him down. Whether it's elbowing him in the back or giving him extra bumps, all that non-sense seems to go unnoticed and yet you don't see JVG crying to the media about it.

 

Errr ... JVG has cried to the media quite a bit, to the tune of $125,000 in fines.

 

The question is....did Wade get 2 free throws for holding his wrist?

 

Good call, I forgot about how he got fined in November for his "mayhem" comments. Although, I do consider that and the "conspiracy" claims to be very different.

 

Because this foul was so bad and not called on Dwyane Wade of all people, the Heat should get to shoot free throws for all of their possessions until Wade gets back.

 

If I recall- we could have signed Posey for 6 mil per season.....

 

I don't recall DWade complaining, Just Pat. I don't understand why this board takes so many shots at Wade. He didn't complain about it or place blame on anyone. He plays ths game pretty clean and he drives hard to the basket. I've only seen him play a game or two this season (I know finals was a whistle fest for him), but it seems like the refs are doing a better job with him.

God I love what Posey does. He could be a hitman for us, who can also hit the 3 while not doing his hitman job.

 

Honestly, he's a scapegoat. Wade is just the best at taking advantage of a problem with the league. The fans wanted more scoring, so David Stern is giving it to them with the clock stopped. Wade came into the league at the exactly right time to take advantage of it.

 

Posey is a dirty player. Wade could end up getting hit MORE because of Posey rather than less. When it comes to a dirty hits when a player is in the air, the Heat don't want to trade with teams because Wade is very vulnerable. Because of his flopping and the favoritism he gets from referees, Wade isn't real popular with other players and makes an inviting target. I think it would be in the Heat's interest to tone the rhetoric down. This is a can't win situation for them.

Another side of this story is the vicious rivalry with the Bulls. Two years ago, I saw Nocioni do a take-down of Wade that was incredibly flagrant and malicious. That play put Nocioni on my map. At least Wade was close to the ground and didn't get hurt (though he could have). Earlier this season, you also had Posey sending the bloody message to Tyrus Thomas a couple of plays after his putback slam. So maybe this whole this thing is just between the two teams.

 

its a rivalry, but hinrich just got beat. he was just trying to keep wade close.

 

aaaahhhhhh anyway the heat will have a problem with that crappy team. Shaq who can only play in the playoffs or otherwise he will be to tired and Wade aka the whole team is out.

 

Wade is a wuss.He gets every foul call to go his way and now Hinrich holds his hand and his wrist is injured.

Seriously, why cant people not see whats wrong with the way Wade plays the game? I understand he's exciting to watch and athletic as hell, but Riley of all people needs to shut the hell up about a call not going Wade's way. Some of the stuff that gets called for him is straight up ridicurous...

 

It's not Wade's fault the refs give him all the calls...
