http://m.espn.go.com/nba/story?storyId=11676339 LeBron might be surprised, but no one worth one's salt is. The argument he is free to go to the strongest team after being unable to carry a team with out superstars is valid, but as someone who watched jabbar and MJ play, I can't really put him in the top 5 GOAT.
I can't believe that Windhorst has a job where all he does is follow LeBron around and report his feelings etc. What a life
Lots of famous/media/hollywood type figures have PR people. That's his job. He's just getting his W-2 from ESPN.
Bosh should just shut his trap and be grateful. LeBron is the reason he played in 4 straight NBA Finals and won 2 championships. LeBron leaving is why Bosh got $118 million guaranteed. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. If we could turn back the clock to however long it took Bosh to cool off after the Finals and he was offered two scenarios: 1. LeBron stays in Miami and Bosh signs for 4 yrs, $50 million. 2. LeBron leaves and Bosh signs for 5 yrs, $118 million. I think there is a good chance he would have chosen #2.
Revisionist history, that's why. People for whatever reason hold it against LeBron for taking matters in his own hands, when he can, and going to the best team available, rather than waiting for the front office to put together the best team around him after whithering away half his career in his first stint in Cleveland with that crappy FO. Every GOAT candidate player has had great teams around them (Bird, Magic, and Jordan all played on a few of the best teams in history); however, because their teams were more organically grown vs. put together by the players, it ends up being a knock against LeBron's legacy. Fair or not, that's the perception.
WHAT? Half the revisionist posters on this board convinced me that all these legends won these championships by themselves and a team full of walk-ons!
Since when is leaving the team that's won four straight Eastern Conference championships for a team that hasn't cracked 33 wins in four years "front-running"?
LOL x LOL they are the best team because Lebron is on it duh. Put LBJ on 20 other NBA teams and they become instant top 3 team. smdh
MJ didn't exactly play with crap, the team he played in had several HOF players Rodman, Pippen, Kerr etc., set the wins per season record in the NBA and was able to reach the ECF when he temporarily left. I'm not familiar with Jabbar but IIRC he did most of his winning playing with Magic and the show-time lakers. Not really sure what you're trying to say here, is this more arbitrary Lebron hate?
Jordan didn't run away to go play with those players. They drafted them or brought them in. And Kerr is not a HOF player
Lebron STILL trying to help out his ex-Miami team mates. Look out for the pick on Dellavedova... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNSVml1rTXs
